You may recall that The Fall Part 2: Unbound came to Switch in February. But until now, there hasn’t been a way to play the first entry on Nintendo’s latest console. As we now know, that’ll be changing next week.

Over the Moon published a new gameplay trailer for The Fall Part 2: Unbound under the name “I Am Train”. Watch the video below.

Nintendo has published a new trailer for Over the Moon’s The Fall Part 2: Unbound. This trailer focuses on the “Companion” character:

The Fall Part 2: Unbound will launch for Switch on February 13, according to a listing on the European eShop. That date has not been officially confirmed, but eShop pages have provided accurate information as of late.

The first entry in The Fall series made it to Wii U in 2014. This new game was originally planned for 2017, but was delayed back in October. A new release window of February 2018 had also been provided at the time.

We’ve included an overview and previous story trailer for The Fall Part 2: Unbound below.

The Fall Part 2: Unbound was originally scheduled for Q3 2017. But in an announcement today, developer Over The Moon announced a delay, moving the game to February 2018.

The newest entry in The Fall is actually done. However, the studio explained that “releasing it in October, November or December, among all the AAA titles, is commercial suicide.” The extra time will also be used “to further polish the game, with every platform getting a version of The Fall Part 2: Unbound that makes the most of its capabilities.”

The Fall Part 2: Unbound was one of a few titles pictured in Nintendo’s big Nindies infographic from its February showcase. Today, developer Over The Moon followed up on that with an official announcement.

The Fall Part 2: Unbound will be on Nintendo’s new console, but plans for Wii U have been scrapped. Over The Moon said the following regarding the decision:

“We’re coming to the Nintendo Switch! This is great news obviously, but it also appears that Nintendo is switching (hah) focus to promoting that platform over the Wii U. For that reason we’ve decided to focus on resources on supporting the Switch instead of the Wii U. As indies, we simply don’t have the luxury of supporting a platform that’s clearly being sunsetted. I was confident that we’d make it in time, but everyone’s moving on to greener pastures and we’d be fools to stay behind.”

We’ve posted today’s lengthy announcement about the game after the break. A new story trailer for The Fall Part 2: Unbound can also be viewed below.

Over The Moon brought The Fall to Wii U two years ago. The second part of the trilogy, Unbound, is now confirmed for launch on Wii U in Q1 2017.

According to Nintendo Life, The Fall Part 2: Unbound begins right from the conclusion of the first game. There will once again be Metroidvania-style exploration, with ARID needing to meet and control different robot bodies that have unique personalities and quirks.

Here’s a teaser:

Over The Moon is hoping to bring in new players by discounting the first game. Expect a discount of 80-90 percent sometime this month.

On Miiverse, Over the Moon’s Danielle Lovell shared an update about the future of The Fall.

Thanks to sales of the game’s first episode, two more episodes are planned. The next one is currently in development and is targeted for release in Fall 2015.

Lovell’s message states:
