Quantum Recharged release date

Atari and SneakyBox have come through with a final release date for Quantum: Recharged. The game will launch on August 17, 2023, the two sides confirmed today.

Original (6/26): Atari is planning yet another addition to its “Recharged” series, and today unveiled Quantum: Recharged in partnership with Sneakybox. The game heads to Switch later in 2023.

Quantum: Recharged reimagines the classic forty years since its arcade debut with modern flourishes. The game itself has players navigating waves of enemies with only a nimble ship and a trove of unique power-ups.

Here’s some additional information:

Void Prison

Voidrock Studios and SneakyBox are gearing up for the launch of Void Prison on Switch, the two sides announced today. Fans can pick it up on January 19, 2023.

Void Prison is an action-packed twin-stick shooter. The endless arcade game puts the player inside an ever-shrinking void ring as they look to survive by fighting emerging enemy waves using various guns and powerups that can be picked up during the run.

Black Widow: Recharged Asteroids: Recharged Breakout: Recharged

Atari has announced that Asteroids, Centipede, Breakout, Black Widow, and Gravitar: Recharged have been updated with new content on Switch.

Starting today, players can access bonus challenge levels that were previously only available to owners of the Atari VCS. The stages, which present the highest level of difficulty, offer new challenges to existing players and an added value to anyone purchasing the titles for the first time. Arcade Mode also now provides three lives instead of one, just like the coin-op arcade versions they are based on. Finally, Black Widow: Recharged now has an Arachnophobia Mode, which turns the spider into a frosty snowman, poised to shoot snowflakes in lieu of webs.

Asteroids, Centipede, Breakout, Black Widow, and Gravitar: Recharged are all currently available on the Switch eShop.
