Characters

Toriko

• A lone young girl who somehow survives in a world where civilization has collapsed. Unable to survive in a world contaminated by toxic fungi, she lives in a “terrarium” under the care of a robot. The robot rescues her from being used as a seedbed for a plan to restore humanity.

• A robot disposed of at a scrapyard. One day, it becomes self-aware and starts to move. Upon finding Toriko covered in mushroom, he had a sudden impulse to save her. Since then, he has been dedicated to taking care of Toriko with the help of factoryAI. It seems to be a home-use robot that was once widespread.

factoryAI

• An artificial intelligence that manages a “self-propagation shelter” hastily constructed by humanity to combat the toxic fungi. It cooperates with the robot to take care of Toriko, but unlike the robot, factoryAI is unable to move, so it helps the robot through knowledge and information obtained from the database. It was destroyed upon getting wrapped up in the humanity restoration project.
