Customer service rep says Club Nintendo 3DS XL charging cradles are unlikely to return

A number of different-colored 3DS XL charging cradles went live on Club Nintendo yesterday. But just an hour or so after the rewards landed on the site, all five versions sold out.
Many Club Nintendo members were disappointed that they were unable to due to place an order given the limited availability. That begs the question: will the charging cradles ever return?
According to one Nintendo customer service representative, the answer is no. A message from the Nintendo staffer reads:
Thanks for contacting us about the Nintendo 3DS XL Charging Cradle. Please note that this reward was produced in limited quantities, so it is unlikely that we’ll be getting more in stock.
That being said, I will certainly document your interest in this particular reward on the record of feedback for this item. If additional supplies become available again in the future, we’ll be sure to update the Rewards section of Club Nintendo (https://club.nintendo.com/rewards.do). Since we’ll be unable to alert you if this happens, we ask that you check back periodically.
