[Feature] Nintendo Everything’s 2013 Game of the Year Picks
Game of the year picks, coming from a guy who’s been unfortunate and hasn’t gotten to play that much of what 2013 had to offer, but nevertheless, here are my picks.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf – The classic, quirky life simulation game. A perfect example of Nintendo taking a concept which has proven to work and improving upon it. The usual setting of a town filled with animal friends with their own personalities and traits but this time you’re the mayor and as such can change and personalise your town and really make it your perfect escape from reality which you can immerse yourself in whilst you hunt for fossils and capture bugs.
Bioshock Infinite: A first Person shooter with a twist. Set in a utopian sky city where everything appears clean and perfect, but delves into the dark underbelly of Columbia, the city in the sky and proves how you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. Accomplishing something I thought impossible, creating an entire plot centred on escorting another character and making it enjoyable and intuitive, with beautiful character development and an equally quaint setting to boot.
