Super Mario Cereal showing up in Target’s inventory system

Some rather interesting news surfaced last night about new Super Mario Cereal. It’s rumored that Nintendo and Kellog’s have teamed up to offer the product on store shelves – at least in the US. While some have doubted the validity of the original speculation, new evidence points to the original rumor being real.

Some of you may be aware of BrickSeek, a site that keeps track of inventory of a few different retailers. One of these stores is Target. As it turns out, the Super Mario Cereal already seems to be appearing in Target’s system.

The cereal doesn’t look to be in stores just yet. However, since it’s in the system, it should be showing up soon – something that we heard yesterday. We’re not even sure if this is something Nintendo will announce, but you might be able to spot it in your local grocery store soon.

One interesting component is the amiibo label pictured on the box. Supposedly, a “limited number” of boxes will have the label included. We’re not actually sure what the functionality does, but we’ll keep you posted on that front.
