Arcade Archives Pole Position

Today, Hamster announced Pole Position as the latest Arcade Archives game for Switch. The company will be publishing it on July 6, 2023.

Hamster is putting COP 01 on Switch eShop as the latest Arcade Archives game, the company just announced. A release is planned for June 29, 2023.

An action game released by Japan Bussan in 1985, players will take on the role of James, a rookie detective from the 1st Precinct, to rescue his lover Stacey who has been kidnapped by the secret organization Spectre. The game is notable for its “rocket jump” feature, which is used to reach secret bases.

Arcade Archives Splatterhouse

Hamster is putting Splatterhouse on Switch as the latest Arcade Archives game, the company just announced. A release is planned for June 22, 2023.

Splatterhouse, which was made by Namco, is a beat ’em up title. It first came out in Japan in 1988 with the western release happening a year later.

Hamster has revealed the latest Arcade Archives game for Switch, which will be Mega Blast.

First released in 1989 by Taito, this side-scrolling shooter game sees you controlling the Megablast to save the women of Earth who have been kidnapped by the forces of the planet Zix. The game will be available on June 15, 2023 worldwide via the eShop.

Hamster has revealed the latest Arcade Archives game for Switch, which will be Transcendent Lovers Bella Bowman.

First released in 1988 by Bandai Namco, the game sees you take the role of an ordinary salaryman who must save the world from Dr. Bakuta by transforming into the titular Bella Bowman. The game is a side-scrolling action title, and will be available on June 8, 2023 worldwide via the eShop.

Arcade Archives Tetris The Absolute The Grand Master 2 Plus gameplay

Hamster brought another classic game to Switch this week with Arcade Archives Tetris The Absolute The Grand Master 2 Plus, and new gameplay has emerged. Footage was shown during the company’s regular live stream this week.

Hamster has revealed the latest Arcade Archives game for Switch, which will be Rolling Thunder 2. The first Rolling Thunder was released earlier this year, and the sequel will be available on May 25, 2023 worldwide.

An action game first released by Namco in 1990, Rolling Thunder 2 sees you take control of the hero “Albatross” of the Special Operations Forces to destroy the Neogeldra, a secret organization that plans to take over the world. Leila Blitz, who featured in the previous game, is also available for a second player to control.

Arcade Archives Rolling Thunder 2 will be sold digitally via the eShop.

Arcade Archives Tetris The Absolute The Grandmaster 2 Plus

Hamster is bringing Tetris The Absolute The Grandmaster 2 Plus to Switch, the company announced today. A worldwide release is planned for June 1, 2023.

This title features the same puzzle gameplay as the original. However, there are new modes for the sequel including Master mode, which – as pointed out by the game’s Wiki – “extends the classic Tetris: The Grand Master gameplay with larger speed increases, more requirements to achieve the M or GM grades, and an additional challenge when the M rank is achieved where the player must survive the credits roll with the additional handicap of the tetrominoes turning invisible upon locking.” Also included are Normal mode, a Versus mode with item battles, and a co-op mode.

Arcade Archives Ark Area dropped on Switch this week, and per usual, we have gameplay. Hamster showed off the classic title during a live stream this week.
