It’s a triple dose of Kirby classics on the eShops this week in North America. Aside from Kirby’s Epic Yarn and Kirby Mass Attack on Wii U, Kirby’s Dream Course is slated for New 3DS.

Nintendo’s website has the following overview:

“Scan the course and check out the obstacles ahead. Get ready for the most surprising game play imaginable in Kirby’s battle against King Dedede! This checkerboard challenge brings outrageous hazards and bizarre surfaces. Gordo, Kracko, Whispy Woods and a cast of zany characters await you. Gain special powers including Fireball, Freeze, and Spark. Transform your enemies into stars revealing eight hidden cups. Control the force and angle of your shot and sink Kirby for a hole-in-one!”

Kirby’s Dream Course will be available tomorrow for $7.99.

The Wii U eShop is being updated with re-releases of two Kirby games this week. First up is Kirby’s Epic Yarn, which will be made available as a Wii download. Kirby Mass Attack is also launching on the Virtual Console.

Here’s an overview of both:

Kirby’s Epic Yarn

“When Kirby incurs the anger of a sorceror, he is transported to a world made completely of cloth and yarn! Guide Kirby through uniquely crafted levels in Patch Land, taking on a variety of forms in his common actions and transforming into powerful vehicles. Prince Fluff can also aid in the adventure with a 2nd player!”

Kirby Mass Attack

“Gather a mob of Kirby characters, and then lead them on a crazy adventure where nothing can stand in your way! You can send Kirbys swarming over your enemies, fling them into the air to hit flying floes, and even take on challenges of strength! Be sure to collect medals hidden throughout various stages to unlock minigames.”

Pricing for Kirby’s Epic Yarn is set at $19.99. Kirby Mass Attack will cost $9.99.

Nintendo released official videos for Animal Crossing: Wild World and Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia on the Japanese Wii U Virtual Console. Watch them below.

Bonk’s Adventure, New Adventure Island, and R-Type are slated for the European Wii U Virtual Console this week. Watch their official trailers below.

Two versions of Super Turrican exist. The now-defunct Factor 5 hoped to have the game on a 6Mbit cartridge way back in the day, but the game’s publisher only allowed for 4Mbit. According to Julian Eggebrecht from Factor 5, that meant the whole final level was removed, including an extra boss.

During the Wii days, Factor 5 actually wanted to restore the original version on the Virtual Console. The 6Mbit cartridge version would have been released as a bonus for those who purchased Super Turrican and Mega Turrican back in 2008. Unfortunately, Nintendo had a policy in which anything that wasn’t commercially available previously couldn’t be published. That meant the dream of having the true version of Super Turrican never materialized.
