Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon and Cyber Shadow have sold the most on Switch
In a blog post this week, Yacht Club Games provided a breakdown of sales for its various games, including a couple of more recent releases – Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon and Cyber Shadow.
Since launch, Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon has sold a bit over 35,000 units across all platforms. Going into more of the details, first week sales came in at just under 20,000 units while first month sales were just over 30,000.
Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon has seen the most success on Switch with 70 percent of its sales. In comparison, “Shovel Knight had about 40 percent units sold on Nintendo platforms after a month”. The Americas comprised 54.9 percent of sales for Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon across all platforms.
Yacht Club Games has also provided insight into Cyber Shadow, a title which the company published in partnership with Mechanical Head Studios. The game has sold 85,000 copies across all platforms. 55,000 units were sold in the first month, and 44,000 units were sold in the first week.
Like with Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon, Switch was the most popular platform for Cyber Shadow with 50 percent of the game’s sales. One caveat is that it was included on Xbox Game Pass, and Yacht Club estimates that “more than 300,000 players got the game for free” the way.
It’s also worth mentioning that Yacht Club Games has generated over $40 million in revenue. This is after elements such as sales tax, partners, and platform holders cut.
