Aeterna Noctis getting “Pit of the Damned” DLC

Original (12/15): Today, Aeternum Game Studios revealed new DLC for Aeterna Noctis known as “Pit of the Damned”. Switch players can get their hands on the content starting in early 2023.
We have the following information about the DLC:
This is the first playable downloadable content for Aeterna Noctis, and it will take us to explore a new area full of new challenges, new enemies, and, of course, a new and fearsome final boss. The images show the King of Darkness making his way through some catacombs with that recognizable level and puzzle design.
Apparently, an ancient evil claims the monarch’s presence in that old crypt. The visuals speak for themselves, and the downloadable content feels more Aeterna Noctis than ever. Everything indicates that its conclusion will leave more questions than answers, and will lay the foundations for future content for the franchise. In the upcoming months, we will be able to confirm our expectations before such a long-awaited downloadable content that will also include new improvements and skills as the studio has confirmed.

The next downloadable content for this fast-paced Metroidvania will be available for free on all platforms, adding dozens of hours of combat and exploration.
Among the new features that the “Pit of the Damned” brings, there are two new game areas that expand the gaming experience. Access to these new levels is completely organic, and both are integrated naturally with the other areas, being accessible from the first hours of the game.
The downloadable content also introduces a new roster of enemies for the King of Darkness to face in order to uncover the secrets of the new areas, including new boss fights. One of the great successes of Aeterna Noctis is the possibility of customizing our playstyle by equipping ourselves with gems that extend and modify different attributes passively and actively. The “Pit of the Damned” expands the list of available gems by adding six new ones, some of them created at the request of the gaming community.
Another of the most important additions in this downloadable content are the timed trials with an interesting multiplayer and cross-platform function. From the offices of Aeternum Game Studios, they ensure that the timed trials allow players to compete against each other and highlight their name among world statistics. You will have to work hard to get the best score on each trial and enter the top 10!
