WayForward discusses Mighty Switch Force’s enhanced 3D
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
Yesterday’s Mighty Switch Force update brought along a few changes. It added new levels, a replay button, and “enhanced” 3D.
While the first two elements are absolutely clear, the improved 3D visuals was slightly confusing. Just how was the effect improved?
Developer WayForward explained on its Facebook page:
“A lot of people have been wondering how the 3D has been ‘enhanced’ in the new version of Mighty Switch Force. Essentially, the game has more 3D layers than before. These subtle improvements can be found throughout the game. One example are the rear walls of Incident 2, which used to be flat against the character and now extend deep into the playfield. Your eye may not pick up all the differences, but your brain will!”
Game Night (5/25/12)

Update: Game Night is now over!
Hop into the IRC for some Kid Icarus: Uprising/Mario Kart 7 online fun. As soon as you enter a name, you’ll be good to go!
We’ll be playing Mario Kart 7 for the first 45-60 minutes, and Kid Icarus for the latter half of the event.
I should mention that we are using NE’s community code for Mario Kart 7. It’s really the most convenient way to arrange groups, especially if we had as many participants playing as last time. The code is 22-5271-0357-0675.
You can find a list of Nintendo Everything 3DS friend codes here. I’ll be updating it regularly, but you might want to start out by adding everyone on the “Known Game Night participants” list.
Game Night notice (5/25/12)
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Site updates | 0 comments
Note (5/25): Game Night is in less than two hours! We’ll kick things off at 7:30 PM ET / 4:30 PM PT.
Note (5/25): Friend code listing has received an update in the forum here. You can find a rough overview of known Game Night participants.
Note: If possible, please post your 3DS friend code here. You may also want to add those included under the “Known Game Night participants” section – the list is still being updated.
Assuming I make it through the week, there will be a Game Night on Friday. As usual, it’s set for 7:30 PM EDT / 4:30 PM PDT.
We’ll be playing Mario Kart 7 in the first half of the event. Kid Icarus: Uprising rounds will take place in the second half. Setting it up this way might make things less chaotic.
If you plan on joining us, I’d greatly appreciate it if you could post your 3DS friend code here. It’ll make things much easier if people have codes exchanged before Game Night starts. You’ll have to register for our forum, but it literally takes just a minute to sign up.
Rumor: Most Wanted is the next Need for Speed game
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, Rumors | 0 comments
EA will be unveiling Need for Speed: Most Wanted during E3 if a new schedule from TwitchTV is to be believed. The site has published a day-by-day schedule of its streaming events, which shows that Most Wanted will receive a gameplay session on June 5. Of course, EA would officially announce the title one day prior during its media briefing.
A Need for Speed: Most Wanted game was released a number of years ago. Either the new game is a sequel, or it’ll be a remake. I personally believe a follow-up is more likely.
The same TwitchTV schedule also lists TBA titles from Ubisoft (including Wii U games), Capcom, and more.
You can find the entire listing after the break.
Etrian Odyssey IV demo will be available in Japan
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments

A new pamphlet circulating around in Japan indicates that Atlus is readying a demo for Etrian Odyssey IV. It unfortunately doesn’t contain any details about the trial, nor does it say when it’ll be released. However, the pamphlet mentions that any progress made in the demo will carry over to the final retail game.
Etrian Odyssey IV launches in Japan on July 5, so the demo will probably be out before then.

Although this is footage from the Xbox 360 version, it seems that the content is the same across all consoles. The Wii title features the same kind of gameplay – the visuals are just a bit different.

So, right now it’s unclear as to what this new Star Wars franchise means. We don’t know what it’s about nor do we know which platforms it’ll be coming to. Obviously the details are being kept vague for a reason.
In any case, we’ll learn the franchise next Thursday during the next episode of GT.TV. Actual footage will be shown during Spike’s “E3 All Access Live” show on June 4.
