Monster Hunter 3 news could come from TGS

To be honest, the media and gaming fans alike do not know a tremendous amount Monster Hunter 3. The game has received a ton of publicity not only because the game moved from the PS3 to the Wii, but also due to the series’ enormous success in Japan. In general, many people were expecting some news about Monster Hunter 3 at E3 – at least in some form – but at this point, the game looks like it’ll be completely absent from the expo.
On the bright side, an appearance for the Tokyo Game Show in October seems highly probable. TGS has been one of the more well-known events and many Japanese-related announcements have come from previous shows. Christian Svensson, Capcom’s Corporate Officer/VP of Strategic Planning & Business Development not only reinforced the significance of Monster Hunter in Japan, but has additionally noted that announcements related to the series would come from more Japanese-oriented venues. “(Monster Hunter 3) is increasingly critical (to the Japanese market)… but it’s probably safer to any major MH announcements to most likely come from more Japan-focused events given the importance of the series to that territory.”

With the unique color scheme of black helmet and red visor, the Phazon Suit is awarded after defeating the Omega Pirate. Both Samus’ suit and gun are infected with pure Phazon. This gives the Phazon Suit an ability to protect Samus from the deadly effects of the deadly blue substance and shoot the Phazon Beam when standing in pools of Phazon. Just when Metroid Prime is defeated, the Phazon Suit is stolen and used to create one of Samus’ greatest enemies, Dark Samus!
First 4 Figures is extremely proud to present the ultimate version of the Samus Aran’s Phazon Suit. First 4 Figures has used the official game files in order to create an extremely accurate recreation of the Phazon suit, with pose inspiration taken from official Metroid artwork.
Looks incredibly on its own and really completes a display when put together with the Varia suit and Gravity suit statues.
Could “Darwin” be Microsoft’s answer to the Wiimote?
Posted on 16 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 0 comments
For months upon months now, rumors have circulated that Microsoft has their own Wii-esque controller in the works. By the time E3 blows by, we will most likely know for sure if such a product is in the works. Darwin is one controller than is extremely similar to the Wiimote and is being developed by Motus, although we do not know for sure if Microsoft has struck a deal with Motus as a first-party agreement, or if the controller will come as a third-party peripheral. It would make sense that Darwin is a third-party accessory considering Microsoft would never let something like this slip; Admittedly though, anything is possible. According to the company’s official website, Darwin is expected to release in less than a year.
Defend your Castle could be heading to Europe soon
Posted on 16 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 4 Comments
Even though Defend your Castle is available for free on the PC, the game always manages to top the North American WiiWare charts. The improved graphics and general insanity of the game with a friend really makes the game both hilarious and fun game. Europe, however, still has not had Defend your Castle added to the WiiWare service. A rating from PEGI could change this in the near future though, as the game has finally been rated. Defend your Castle has been given a 7+ rating, so it’s probable that the game will be releasing in Europe shortly.
Nostradamus: The Last Prophecy seeing a port to the DS

Ports on the DS, while perfectly acceptable, can only turn out well if the developers can make a smooth transition to the portable. There have been a few DS ports thus far, but with mixed results. Nostradamus: The Last Prophecy is the latest game that is being ported, this time from the PC. Hopefully Elektrogames, the company in charge of the game, will do their best to make sure the game is an enjoyable experience.
