Bayonetta, Devil May Cry, Okami, Viewtiful Joe, and Wonderful 101 are all part of the same universe

Bayonetta, Devil May Cry, Okami, Viewtiful Joe, and The Wonderful 101 are all part of the same universe. That’s according to Hideki Kamiya, the creator of these franchises.

Kamiya was responding to a fan comment that asked about Bayonetta and Devil May Cry sharing the same universe. However, it was clarified that his other games are a part of that as well. They all fall under the same umbrella dubbed the “Kamiya-verse.”

Kamiya shared the following in a video recently published on YouTube:

“All the games I create exist in the same single universe: the Kamiya-verse. This question specifically mentions Bayonetta and Devil May Cry, but for me, Viewtiful Joe, Okami, and The Wonderful 101 are all part of the same universe. Everything is interconnected, so please let your imaginations run wild.”

Unfortunately, that’s all we have to go on here. Kamiya didn’t clarify how all of these different properties could somehow fit together in that way. It might be odd to think of something like Okami and Bayonetta existing in the same universe, but that’s apparently the case.
