Ace Attorney 5 will be launching in Japan as a retail product. In the west, where the game is known as “Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies”, Capcom has opted to make the game available only through the 3DS eShop.

Following today’s announcement, we asked Capcom about the decision to bring Dual Destinies to North America and Europe as a digital title. The company explained that it “wanted as many people as possible to be able to enjoy the game for as long as possible.” While Capcom does “understand that this decision may upset fans who wanted to have a physical version of the title to add to their collection”, it feels that “this direction is the best to take to ensure that fans are able to enjoy the game at their own leisure.”

The Game Bakers is bringing its mobile title Squids to the Wii U and 3DS eShops. A release is tentative scheduled for the summer.

Squids is an action/RPG title that sees a team of squid fighters taking on the powers of evil. Some of the action gameplay is reminiscent of Angry Birds, though the RPG elements have players developing their characters and equipping them with more powerful items.

The Wii U and 3DS version will incorporate levels from the original game and Squids Wild West while also incorporating content such as new characters. More details will be shared in the future.

EnjoyUp Games announces Darts Up 3D for the 3DS eShop

EnjoyUp Games is bringing a new title to the 3DS eShop: Darts Up 3D.

The company says that its new game is the “ultimate darts game” for the 3DS. Players use the system’s built-in motion sensor to aim and then fire away in any of the game’s different modes, including 501. You can also play with up to four others and create your own profile with a Mii.

Here’s a full rundown of features included in Darts Up 3D:

– Send the full Darts Up 3D using the “Download Play” option.
– 4 Players on just one Nintendo 3DS.
– Create your own profile using the Mii.
– Use the motion sensor to aim and view the surroundings.
– Entirely in 3D Stereoscopic.
– Three playing modes, including 501.

C-Wars hits 3DS and Wii U stretch goals on Kickstarter

C-Wars is officially heading to the 3DS and Wii U. The two platforms were added in as stretch goals on Kickstarter, and both were reached before the campaign ended.

Onipunks requested $65,535 in funding to make C-Wars happen on the 3DS and PlayStation Vita. $75,000 was needed for a Wii U version.
