June 2013 NPD: Nintendo’s response, 3DS sells 225,000 units

Nintendo has responded to the June 2013 NPD report. The company confirmed that the 3DS managed to sell roughly 225,000 units in the US last month, making it the best-selling video game system for the second straight month.
Hardware sales are up by more than 40 percent year-over-year. 3DS software sales are also increasing, rising by close to 105 percent.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies gets PG rating in Australia

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies has been rated “M” by the ESRB, one of the higher classifications handed down by the board. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Dual Destinies was given a “PG” rating by the OFLC today.
The lowest level of OFLC classification is “G”. “PG” is one step up and is intended for players over the age of 15. To compare, the ESRB’s “M” rating means that a game is suitable for a person aged 17 or older.

European Devil Survivor 2 pre-orders open next week, eShop Devil Survivor Overclocked release likely

European Devil Survivor 2 pre-orders will open next week, publisher Ghostlight has confirmed. Pricing will be set at £24.99 / €29.99.
Ghostlight will publish the game in Europe if an internal pre-order target is met. Those who reserve Devil Survivor 2 will be included in the manual, and there will be a special pre-order pack containing Devil Survivor 2 together with a heavily discounted copy of Devil Survivor: Overclocked.
Ghostlight also has an update on a digital version of Devil Survivor Overclocked. The company says that the “wheels are turning and it looks very much like the game will be coming to the eShop in the near future.” More details will be shared “in the next couple of weeks.”

18th July 2013 – Fans of EarthBound got a big surprise this afternoon with the game releasing for the first time in Europe as a Wii U Virtual Console title on Nintendo eShop. During today’s Nintendo Direct Mini, Nintendo also revealed that Nintendo Zone locations are soon getting StreetPass enhancements to let players connect with one another, and provided information about a number of current and upcoming video games.
