Aksys will be attending this year’s Anime Expo, and numerous events and activities are planned.

First, you’ll want to pay attention to the Aksys Games Panel on July 6, between 2 PM and 3 PM. The company is planning on sharing a “new, wacky title announcement” and will host a game show where a few signed copies of a secret item will be given away.

One day prior, Aksys’ “The Art of Localization” panel will allow fans to “Get up close and personal with the translators and editors behind some of your favorite titles including Muramasa Rerbirth, Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward, and Hakuoki”.

Aksys will also shower fans with giveaways, special deals at its booth store, and an “Otome Day” involving a Hakuoki cosplay event.

Anime Expo 2013 will take place between July 4 and July 7.

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team is nearly twice the size of Project X Zone, but it, too, isn’t overly huge. The latest in Nintendo’s Mario RPG series will take up 6,792 blocks – possibly give or take a few blocks depending on your region.

Nintendo’s latest 3DS firmware update didn’t just add new save backup functionality. It also took down Gateway’s flashcart. Gateway, however, claims to be “working on making it compatible as quickly as possible” – not exactly the kind of thing Nintendo would like to hear. Nonetheless, these flashcarts have been stopped for now.

Gateway was in the news last month for declaring that it managed to create the first working 3DS flashcart. It allows games to run through microSD cards, which led to concerns regarding piracy.

Project X Zone will take up approximately 3,729 blocks on an SD card. It may vary slightly in Europe and other territories, but that number shouldn’t be too far off. The point is, the game isn’t very big and should easily fit on the card.

Reggie acknowledged the “my body is ready” meme once again. That makes this video worth it!

Kotaku has published its full interview with Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai. For the sake of full understand, we’re posting the full Q&A after the break.

Topics addressed by Sakurai include Mega Man’s inclusion in Smash Bros. (he wasn’t considered for previous games), balance, Final Smashes, and more. He also gave an update on his shoulder pain, which unfortunately isn’t any better.

Code of Princess wasn’t a huge hit in Japan, with producer Yasuo Nakajima labeling sales as being “so-so”. In North America, however, Nakajima said that the game “sold beyond our expectations.”

He said:

“In Japan, it sold so-so, but in the US Code of Princess sold beyond our expectations.”

Nakajima is interested in creating Code of Princess 2, but it sounds like he’s thinking more about the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as opposed to Wii U. You can read about that here.
