Team Meat says eShop has 2GB file size limit, wants next game on Wii U

Nintendo is enforcing a 2GB file size limitation on the 3DS eShop according to Team Meat’s Tommy Refenes. This restriction would be much more reasonable than WiiWare’s 40MB limit.
In issue #72 of Nintendo Gamer, Refenes also said “Super Meat Boy would have been on WiiWare if we could have had just a few more megabytes of space”.
He told the magazine:
“[WiiWare’s] 40MB is horrible, but [3DS’s] 2GB is reasonable. Super Meat Boy would have been on WiiWare if we could have had just a few more megabytes of space – you can only compress stuff so much before you have to start cutting out huge parts of your game. Unfortunately, at that point, it just isn’t worth the time.”
Refenes wrapped up his comments by noting Team Meat would be interested in bringing their next game to the Wii U:
“If we can in the future, we’d like our next game to be on Wii U as well as everything else.”

Kingdom Hearts 3D hitting Europe this summer

Kingdom Hearts fans can expect the next game in the franchise to hit Europe this summer. Square Enix France told KHDestiny that Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance is “now set for a Summer 2012”.
A July 27 listing was added to the Kingdom Hearts 3D page over at the Square Enix Boutique earlier today. It has since been edited to a general “Summer 2012” timeframe.

Rumor: Time Travelers due out in Japan this summer

Time Travelers news has been light since the Level-5 Vision 2011 event last year. Even though there haven’t been many updates about the title, there’s a chance that it will launch in Japan this summer.
Composer Hideki Sakamoto made a tweet about Time Traveler’s recently. He noted that it “is due out in early summer”. Jiro Ishii saw the message, but, as Andriasang reports, only said that he “hopes everyone can hear it soon.”

Mario Serves Up Portable Tennis Fun in 3D In Mario Tennis Open, Mario and his Mushroom Kingdom friends return to the court for a flurry of intense tennis action, from engaging singles and doubles matches to skill-building minigames and online play. Using the built-in wireless features of the Nintendo 3DS system, up to four people can play together in local* or online** multiplayer modes and exchange player information via StreetPass. Players can choose between intuitive Touch Screen and gyro sensor controls or strategic button-based gameplay that delivers an even deeper experience.
