All-Star Fighting Game Set For Release on Nintendo 3DS™ this April and Xbox 360®, Wii™ and PlayStation®3 System During the 2011 Holiday Season
Santa Ana, California, February 28, 2011 – Crave Games, the full-service publishing division of Fillpoint LLC, one of the videogame industries’ leading providers of both online and in-store distribution, fulfillment, and e-commerce services for national retailer, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE), the global licensing and merchandising arm of the television network, to develop and produce Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion for the Nintendo 3DS™ entertainment system available in May 2011. The game will also be released for the Xbox 360®video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, Nintendo Wii™ and the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system during the 2011 holiday season.
Currently in development from Papaya Studios, the game will feature a large cast of popular characters from Cartoon Network’s original programming. Players will be able to choose from a variety of hit animated characters from the network’s most popular shows including, Ben 10 Ultimate Alien, The PowerPuff Girls, Dexter’s Laboratory, Samurai Jack, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, Codename: Kids Next Door, Chowder, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, and The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy.

Famitsu offers 3DS hardware sales data, best-selling 3DS launch game

Just a couple of days ago, Nikkei claimed that the 3DS had already sold out after one day on the market. If the report was true, it meant 400,000 units were already in the hands of Japanese gamers. Famitsu, however, published an article on its website earlier today which states the system moved 371,3226 units in two days.
Famitsu also revealed the best-selling 3DS launch title. No, it wasn’t nintendogs + cats or Super Street Fighter IV 3D. It was actually Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle, which sold 117,589 copies over the weekend.

One of the 3DS’ more promising Augmented Reality titles allows players to shoot at different targets. In one section, a gamer was able to turn a PSP go into a grave by placing the card above Sony’s handheld. The result is pretty humorous, to say the least!
