Just a couple of days ago, Nikkei claimed that the 3DS had already sold out after one day on the market. If the report was true, it meant 400,000 units were already in the hands of Japanese gamers. Famitsu, however, published an article on its website earlier today which states the system moved 371,3226 units in two days.

Famitsu also revealed the best-selling 3DS launch title. No, it wasn’t nintendogs + cats or Super Street Fighter IV 3D. It was actually Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle, which sold 117,589 copies over the weekend.

One of the 3DS’ more promising Augmented Reality titles allows players to shoot at different targets. In one section, a gamer was able to turn a PSP go into a grave by placing the card above Sony’s handheld. The result is pretty humorous, to say the least!
