Young Justice: Legacy now “TBD” on Nintendo platforms
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in DS, News, Wii, Wii U | 0 comments
Young Justice: Legacy has been delayed on Nintendo platforms. The Wii U, Wii, and 3DS versions now have a “TBD” release date. This likely suggests a launch sometime in 2014.
The delay only impacts Young Justice on Nintendo systems – it’s still coming to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this September.
Little Orbit is apparently holding back the Nintendo versions to make them better suited on each platform. For Wii U, the team will be looking to exploit the GamePad for interesting gameplay. The Wii version, which was thought to be cancelled at one point, seems to be shaping up for release and will probably launch alongside the Wii U version.
Nintendo worked on Pikmin prototypes for GBA and 3DS, Pikmin 3 has something for everyone

Speaking with Official Nintendo Magazine at E3 2013, Miyamoto said:
In an interview with ONM, Shigeru Miyamoto revealed that Nintendo had once been working on Pikmin versions for the Game Boy Advance and 3DS. Miyamoto wasn’t happy with either, so both were likely sent to the scrapheap. It was with Pikmin 3 that Miyamoto “felt like I was able to create the Pikmin game that I wanted to create.”
“We did actually create versions of Pikmin on 3DS and Game Boy Advance, but they were versions that I wasn’t really happy with until we came to this version on the Wii U and I finally felt like I was able to create the Pikmin game that I wanted to create.”
Miyamoto also spoke about how Pikmin 3 is the type of game that everyone can find something to enjoy:
“Pikmin 1 as you recall was around a 30 day time limit and it was designed to be a game that you played within that 30 days and discovered the story, and what we were hoping was that players would use that limit and set their own objectives. So maybe I want to beat it within 30 days or beat it within 20 days or beat it without having a single Pikmin die. But what we found is that people would play though it once and not return. With Pikmin 2, what it became was an easier to play Pikmin game, and with Pikmin 3 we wanted to try and broaden the appeal of the gameplay. So if you’re someone who likes to go after high scores there’s something for you there, or if you want to explore the world and play through the story you can do that, or for people who want to use the multiplayer there’s something for you there, too. And so Pikmin 3 has really become sort of a version of Pikmin that, regardless of what your personal play style preferences, you’ll be able to find something in there for you.”
Miyamoto on Wii U’s price, struggle to bring out software, Wii U Zelda news possible for this year, new IP, Iwata the best at managing Nintendo, more

GamesIndustry published a new interview with Shigeru Miyamoto today. You can find his responses below.
Miyamoto on not holding a press conference  at E3 this year…
Obviously we’ve been coming to E3 for many years now and one thing we always try to think of when we come to E3 is: how can we show what’s really unique about Nintendo? What you described about [the media being invited to play games] was really an effort to do something that was different and show what is truly unique about Nintendo through the games, because if all we’re doing is the exact same things the other companies are doing, you just all start to look the same and I really believe we have a lot of unique things to offer.
Scheduling got in the way of Ace Attorney Investigations 2 localization
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in DS, News | 0 comments
Ace Attorney fans have constantly asked Capcom to localize Investigations 2. It’s the series’ only game that never made it out in North America and Europe.
The lack of Ace Attorney Investigations 2’s launch overseas wasn’t related to concerns about sales, apparently. Series producer Motohide Eshiro told Kotaku: “The main reason was just scheduling.”
“The main reason was just scheduling. Also, the staff for Ace Attorney Investigations 2—after they finished developing the game, they were disbanded and went to different teams, so they weren’t in a position to localize.”
When asked if there is any chance of seeing Investigations 2 in the future, Eshiro said: “Can’t make any promises.”

Nintendo at E3 – a look back – E3 2009 and E3 2010
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, DS, Features, General Nintendo, Videos, Wii | 0 comments
After Nintendo’s incredibly disappointing E3 2008 conference, the company rebounded somewhat in 2009.
Thankfully, Cammie Dunaway said nothing about smiling or breaking her wrist snowboarding. This was, mostly, all about the games.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii started things off. An on-stage demo was held so that the game could be demonstrated for the first time.
Nintendo followed with Wii Sports Resort and Wii Fit Plus.
Time was also taken to highlight RPGs for the Wii and DS – Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story localization, and one brand new title: Golden Sun: Dark Dawn.
Nintendo closed out its conference with three big reveals: the Wii Vitality Sensor (which never made it to market), Super Mario Galaxy 2, and the surprising Metroid: Other M.
Overall, not bad at all considering how horrendous E3 2009 was!
