This should begin in ten minutes or so. We’ll post any translated information and media that comes in. As I said before, I wouldn’t expect any significant news. Still, we’ll get some new footage of upcoming games at the very least. Should be a fun time!
More non-retirement talk from Miyamoto, his favorite Nintendo characters, influences, and more

The L.A. Times has a new interview up with Shigeru Miyamoto. Miyamoto was asked to comment on his original “retirement” comments for the umpteenth time, and he apologized for any misunderstanding.
Besides this, there are some other interesting remarks included inside of the interview. Miyamoto is asked about his favorite Nintendo characters (he has a difficult time choosing just one), his influences, and more.
Head past the break for his responses.
In Defense of Party Games; Game Reviewers Are Full Of Sh*t

Today was Christmas, and seeing as how I’m a human-being who celebrates and enjoys all of the consumerism and materialistic goodness associated with the day, it was only natural that I would spend some time with my family and friends. I hadn’t planned on playing Just Dance. Heck, I was exhausted from how long the day was, but when I was urged to rekindle my relationship with the game, I just couldn’t resist. I stood up- Wiimote in hand- and danced my ass off to “Viva Las Vegas” and “Girlfriend”. Like every single time I’ve played that game, I came away completely baffled at how anyone could dislike it.

Nintendo has made tomorrow’s “Nintendo Direct” presentation official. The official site has been updated with a notice that the next event will take place tomorrow at 10 PM EDT / 7 PM PDT.
President Satoru Iwata has been dishing out some tweets regarding what to expect tomorrow. He said that the company will share news on titles that will be released up to the end of March 2012. There will be updates on games for both the 3DS and Wii. Don’t expect any Wii U information!
Photos of the Club Nintendo Zelda Posters

Aside from the new downloadable games being offered on Club Nintendo, there aren’t a whole lot of rewards that I’ve been interested in. Recently, though, Nintendo added in a poster set for Zelda’s 25th anniversary, and all three items look quite nice. Two of the posters are hand-drawn, and all three are fairly large – they each measure 22” X 28″.
Since supplies are fairly limited, you may want to consider ordering one on Club Nintendo now. Just make sure you have 400 points ready!
New Nintendo Direct presentation set for Tuesday
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, General Nintendo, News, Wii | 0 comments
Nintendo will be holding a second “Nintendo Direct” presentation to close out 2011. Some Japanese fans have spotted the company’s updated UStream page, which states that the event will be held on Tuesday. Similar to the presentation back in October, the latest Nintendo Direct is scheduled for Tuesday at 12 PM in Japan, which is Monday at 10 PM EDT / 7 PM EDT.
It’s unclear if the new presentation will be filled with announcements, though Nintendo did share some pretty substantial news in October. Lost Heroes, 3D Classics: Kid Icarus, and other titles for the handheld were revealed throughout the event.
You can keep track of Nintendo’s UStream page here.
Reggie on sales, Wii U talk, social gaming, experimenting with other forms of monetization, more

AllThingsD has published a new interview with Nintendo of America president Reggie-Fils Aime. Fils-Aime was quizzed on Black Friday sales and how the Wii continues to break records, social gaming, his thoughts on the free-to-play model, and more.
Interestingly, he said that Nintendo will experiment with other forms of monetization, though he wouldn’t really elaborate about what the company may have in store. Reggie also slipped in some quick talk about the Wii U, in which he said that “it will speak to a different consumer than the one that is buying the Wii today during the holidays.”
Head past the break for all of Reggie’s remarks.
