“VGA rumors…We’ll share two world premiere announcements on Wednesday with many more to come.”

It’s almost a guarantee that one of the reveals won’t be Nintendo related. EA’s Patrick Buechner tweeted that BioWare fans should pay attention… And we know that the company has made only one DS title in the past. We’ll let you know, though, if either of the reveals happen to be tied into a Nintendo system.

The disparity on the software side is even greater. For Nintendo platforms, 44 percent of all game sales came during November and December. I’d say that if there’s one thing I think of when the holidays roll around, it’s sitting around with friends drinking cocoa and playing some Nintendo games.

Okay, maybe that’s not entirely true, but I’d be lying if I said Nintendo products are very prominent in my holidays, and apparently they’re very important to Nintendo as well! I dunno, Nintendo games always give me that warm and fuzzy feeling that is associated with the holidays that all the gritty games made by other developers can’t match.

It’s almost the middle of November, but we still don’t really know too much about this year’s Spike TV Video Game Awards. We should begin to find out some information soon, however. Geoff Keighley recently posted on his Twitter account that the first details will be announced next week.

Although the show has received a great deal of criticism over the past several years, perhaps the event will be worth watching this time around. After all, Keighley seems quite confident in the reveals lineup. Last week, he hyped up the show by saying that it will feature “the best VGA lineup” ever.
