Even with all of the information that has become available following CAPTIVATE 09, Capcom is teasing more surprises for E3. According to the company, two new games will be announced. This comes from Capcom’s official twitter account but unfortunately, no hints were provided as to what will be shared when the event begins. The wait will not be too long, however, as E3 starts in a little over a month.

Early Registration Ends Friday, May 1, 2009

Washington, DC – April 28, 2009 – The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) today announced that nearly 150 leading-edge computer and video game companies purchased space to show off the most innovative and advanced computer entertainment at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3 Expo) from June 2-4, at the Los Angeles Convention Center. A full list of current exhibitors is located on www.E3expo.com. Produced by IDG World Expo, companies still interested in exhibiting at E3 Expo should contact the team at (877) 216-6264.

“We are incredibly pleased with the quickly growing list of exhibitors and overwhelming support for the E3 Expo. We anticipate a packed house and a full line-up of industry-driving news and unveilings that will continue to propel the computer entertainment industry’s growth through the year and particularly in the holiday season.” said Michael D. Gallagher, president and CEO of the ESA. The ESA is the trade association that represents the U.S. computer and video game publishers and owns the E3 Expo.

What is “Dragon Quest Wars?” That’s a pretty good question! This would appear to be some sort of Dragon Quest spinoff, though nothing is known for sure yet. Instead of an RPG, Dragon Quest Wars may be focused around strategic elements. Square Enix filed for the trademark on April 23rd and it was approved on April 27th.

Eidos brand to remain and company to run as independent, wholly-owned subsidiary of Square Enix Holdings.

Eidos will remain as an independent operation, as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Square Enix Holdings Co.,Ltd., following the completion of the £84 million acquisition last week.

Phil Rogers will continue in his role as CEO of Eidos, reporting directly to Yoichi Wada, President and CEO Square Enix Holdings Co., Ltd. and Eidos will continue to focus on delivering on the clear strategy to leverage the company’s franchises and develop world class games. Also confirmed is that the ‘Eidos’ brand will continue to be the brand identity for the business.

“There surely will be. I really can’t think of any reason why not, if everyone’s heated support continues. When it is said ‘Nomura will do III,’ I can’t say we haven’t thought of anything.” – Hasegawa-san

I can’t say I’m entirely surprised by this news. The question is, will Kingdom Hearts 3 end up on Wii?

Looks like Atlus site has been hacked. The company has sent out an email notifying fans of the issue and said that their domain was compromised.

Dearest fans of Atlus,
Today (4/24/2009), our web domain (atlus.com) was hacked and compromised. A third-party entity embedded malicious code into the script, and regretfully, for a period of a few hours (from roughly 9:00am PST until 2:30pm PST), this malicious software (which we believe we have identified as a Trojan) may have made its way onto your systems.

The faith and trust of our fans is of the utmost importance to us, a responsibility we don’t take lightly. As such, we are deeply troubled by this development, and we are now working to repair and restore the website.
