indie.io and Tom Voros of Apparition Games are planning a Nintendo Switch version of Pinball Spire that’s coming very soon. Along with the console announcement, we have a release date of May 29, 2025.
Pinball Spire is a vertical pinball adventure. It mixes precision pinball mechanics, platforming puzzles, and retro flair.

Nintendo reveals full details on its free Switch 1 to Switch 2 upgrades

Nintendo has just come with full details on how it plans to update a variety of Nintendo Switch 1 games with upgrades on Switch 2.
Twelve games will be getting free patches at launch. Improvements depend on the specific title, but we’ll be seeing things like HDR support, improved frame rates, GameShare functionality, and more.

Killer Instinct Gold has just joined Nintendo Switch Online

Another N64 classic has just appeared on Nintendo Switch Online with Killer Instinct Gold being made available. Note that you need to be subscribed to the service’s Expansion Pack tier in order to access the game.
Rare originally made Killer Instinct Gold way back in 1996. The fighter is based on the arcade game Killer Instinct 2.

April 2: As shared by SEGA, Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut is on the way to Nintendo Switch 2. It will be sold as an exclusive to the system.
Fans can expect new additions here. Even if you’ve played the game before, it’ll come with new story cutscenes plus a new “Red Light Raid” online multiplayer mode.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has commented again on Nintendo Switch 2, stating that the company is a “big believer” in the console.
We’ve already seen Take-Two commit to releasing four titles on the console. Borderlands 4, Civilization 7, NBA 2K, and WWE 2K will all be releasing at some point. Depending on how things go, perhaps we could seen even more support.

What does the future of physical games look like for Nintendo? At least for the “immediate future”, it’s still important to the company.
Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser recently broached the topic as part of an interview with IGN. In some ways, physical games feel like they’re on their way out. Digital games are only becoming more popular. On top of that, Nintendo is introducing game-key cards with Switch 2. Although consumers do receive a physical cartridge, all of the data needs to be downloaded via the internet before it can function. Nintendo itself is thus far offering full physical games for all of its Switch 2 releases.

Nintendo believes it will have enough stock to meet Switch 2 demand in the U.S.

Nintendo of America boss Doug Bowser has indicated that the company will have enough Switch 2 stock on hand to meet initial demand in the United States.
When a new piece of hardware comes around, there’s sometimes uncertainty as to whether the average consumers can easily get their hands on it. We’ll have to wait and see what happens in a few weeks, but Nintendo seems pretty confident in its supply for Switch 2. Bowser told IGN that the company has “a plan to have a continuous flow of product that’ll be available through the holidays.”

Donkey Kong is getting a brand new design for Donkey Kong Bananza on Nintendo Switch 2, and it now appears that Nintendo is updating the look for Diddy Kong as well. However, the adjustments are much more subtle.
A news post was sent out to Nintendo Switch owners this week which shows how Diddy Kong has changed. There are a few main differences. First, Diddy Kong now has teeth. There’s also the fact that the Nintendo logo has been removed from the character’s hat. Finally, his feet have been adjusted for whatever reason.

No Heroes Here 2 confirmed for Nintendo Switch

Mad Mimic is putting No Heroes Here 2 on Nintendo Switch, the studio has confirmed. It’s due out on July 1, 2025.
The original No Heroes Here came to Nintendo Switch in 2018. After several months in PC Early Access, the sequel is now getting a proper launch.
