Dead Space won’t be any less violent on Wii

“We’re definitely not planning to water it down at all for the Wii, but again, we’re not going to add in shock value just to have that. First and foremost we want to make a great game, and we want to make a great game that makes sense in the Dead Space universe. When we were working on Dead Space the original, we wanted to make a game that was terrifying, action-packed, kind of hit on all those things that people want to experience in a survival action horror game. We went all-out to do that. I think now that the expectation is that a Dead Space game has those kind of elements. We’re not going out of our way to make it extremely violent, it’s just the story is what the story is, and it’s not a pretty story.” – Dead Space: Extraction exec producer, Steve Papoutsis
I was never really concerned that Extraction’s violence would be toned down just because it’s being created for the Wii. From the outset, developers have stressed that they’re looking to create a Dead Space experience on Wii…Which includes a good amount of violence.

Dragon Quest Wars trademarked by Square Enix
Posted on 15 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 3 Comments
What is “Dragon Quest Wars?” That’s a pretty good question! This would appear to be some sort of Dragon Quest spinoff, though nothing is known for sure yet. Instead of an RPG, Dragon Quest Wars may be focused around strategic elements. Square Enix filed for the trademark on April 23rd and it was approved on April 27th.
