Free Wii points to be available for tournament winners in Tetris Party
Posted on 16 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 4 Comments
Earlier this week, details on the official Tetris Party website stated tournaments will begin this December. Prizes were unspecified at the time, but if new information that has been discovered is correct, free Wii points will be offered to winners of the tournaments. Take a look at this last portion of IGN’s Tetris Party review: “It all comes back to gameplay offering. Dozens of modes and variants, amazing local play, online world play, tournaments (for winning Wii points), leaderboards, and endless options.” If I’m reading correctly, and as you can see, it does indeed seem that Wii points will be the prize for winning tournaments in Tetris Party. Free Wii points would be a great incentive for players to participate online and it might even encourage some Wii owners to purchase the game.

“Online co-op is unfortunately, not in the plans. That said, there’s lots of good things happening to Spyborgs that you’ll start to see in a few months.” – Christian Svensson,Corporate Officer/VP of Strategic Planning & Business Development
Mr. Svensson had stated awhile back that Spyborgs would have local co-op included. However, the game is going through some dramatic changes as far as we know. Thus, all multiplayer ideas might be scrapped for the final product.

Rumor: Broken Sword heading to Wii, DS?
Posted on 16 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in DS, Rumors, Wii | 0 comments
If recent ratings by the USK are to be believed, Broken Sword titles for the Wii and DS could be releasing in the future. The ratings have been filed by Ubisoft under both Nintendo systems, but we’ll have to wait and see if the rumor is more than wishful thinking.

Britain really loves Sonic, apparently. A few hundred people living in the UK area were polled and asked what their favorite video game character is. And no – Surprisingly, everyone’s favorite plumber did not take the top spot (though he came pretty close.) Instead, Sonic the Hedgehog was the most popular answer.
Full top 10 list below:
1) Sonic the Hedgehog (24 per cent)
2) Super Mario (21 per cent)
3) Lara Croft (Tomb Raider) (16 per cent)
4) Donkey Kong (11 per cent)
5) Pac Man (10 per cent)
6) Link (The Legend of Zelda) (5 per cent)
7) Max Payne (4 per cent)
8 ) Pikachu (Pokemon) (3 per cent)
