Earlier this week, Nintendo revealed the special Fire Emblem Fates New 3DS XL for North America. We now have several photos of the system below.

An interesting rating for Pokemon Rumble World popped up on the ESRB. This is a new, recent listing with an actual description of the game. The original rating is located here.

It doesn’t make much sense to re-rate a game that came out close to a year ago. Perhaps Nintendo has plans to bring the retail version of Pokemon Rumble World to North America much like Europe and Japan? That would make sense, since it would explain the new rating as well as why it’s accompanied by a description (downloadable games usually don’t have one whereas retail titles do).

We have even more footage from Mario Kart 64 on the Wii U Virtual Console, this time with gameplay of every included track. Get a look at the latest video below.

For Splatoon’s tenth Japanese Splatfest, players were asked if they would prefer a perfect body or a perfect mind. That competition has now come to a close, and the results are in.

Team Perfect Body managed to take home the win thanks to a slight edge in wins (53 percent versus 47 percent). Although Team Perfect Mind was more popular (56 percent compared to the other side’s 44 percent), it wasn’t enough. The final score was 362 to 338.

In late December, Nintendo published Genei Ibun Roku #FE in Japan. Nintendo Dream thought it would make sense to speak with the game’s staff now that development is complete. The Japanese magazine caught up with producer Hitoshi Yamagami (Nintendo), director Kaori Ando (Nintendo), producer Shinjiro Takata (Atlus), director Eiji Ishida (Atlus), chief director Wataru Hirata (Atlus), and art director Fumitaka Yano (Atlus). That’s quite a number of developers indeed!

We’ve translated a lengthy part of the interview below. The excerpts are very insightful, as the developers spoke about how they thought about different genres for the project, considered 3DS (even making a project plan), and more.

Let’s Talk #37: What would you like to see from a new Paper Mario game?

The Internet has been set ablaze over the past day or so with speculation regarding a potential new Paper Mario game for Wii U. Since it’s the hot Nintendo topic of the moment, I thought it’d make sense to have this week’s Let’s Talk centered around that.

It’s been a long time since we saw a proper Paper Mario entry. The Thousand-Year Door, a GameCube game, was the last true RPG in the series. Super Paper Mario was fine enough (I enjoyed it quite a bit myself actually), but you could argue that Sticker Star isn’t looked upon favorably despite decent reviews at the time. At this point, it might be for the best to return to the series’ roots and remember why the franchise has (mostly) been loved by so many players.

With all of that in mind, what would you want to see from a new Paper Mario game? If you have any thoughts, definitely share them in the comments below!

Highlights from last week’s topic: Do you want to see more of Linkle?

Open Form Games intends to bring Vegas Prime Retrograde to Wii U. The game has players assuming the role of COMS operative Clara as they hack through the futuristic streets of Vegas Prime. During your adventure, you’ll “intercept an unusual message from beyond the futuristic grave, piece together a mysterious data bundle, and infiltrate a corporate facility to seek help decoding the data by an imprisoned AI.”

A release date hasn’t been determined as of now, but it’s apparently coming close to launch. You can watch a gameplay video below.

Original (1/22): ShonenGameZ posted another scan of Dragon Ball: Project Fusion from the latest issue of V Jump. We’ve attached it above.

Bandai Namco and Ganbarion are really going all out with fusions in the RPG. It sounds like you can fuse a ton of characters, but even cities, buildings, and islands as well.

People have been picking apart the latest Zelda: Twilight Princess HD footage from yesterday’s Nintendo Minute. GameXplain has another video up, this time showing faster animations and improved load times. Check out the comparisons in the video below.

German developer King Art Games began making its point-and-click adventure series called “The Book of Unwritten Tales” a few years back. The most recent entry, The Book of Unwritten Tales 2, debuted on PC in early 2015, and landed on consoles a few months later. Based on a retailer listing, the title is now slated for Wii U.

Amazon UK lists The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 for release on Wii U on March 22 with Nordic Games handling publishing duties. The Wii U version has already been rated by the ESRB, so it should be coming to North America at some point as well.

You can get an idea as to what The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 offers in the gameplay video below.
