Rumor: Legend of Heroes series coming to 3DS
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, Rumors | 0 comments
Falcom’s Legend of Heroes has mostly been a PlayStation series since its inception. That could be changing soon, however.
A company report on Falcom, picked up on Toyo Keizai’s investor resources site, states “The Kiseki series has been limited to PSP, but starting next term it will be offered on 3DS and a variety of other targets.”
This does appear to be likely. Payment is required to access the page which is why the rumor hasn’t been confirmed just yet.
Rumor: Rocksteady making Silver Age-based Batman game
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, Rumors | 0 comments
Rocksteady Studios is rumored to be working on a third Batman project based on the Silver Age of DC’s 1950s comic books. The game would serve as a sequel to Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, Variety reports.
Silver Age’s comics saw Batman teaming up with other renowned heroes including Superman. The Justice League of America was formed as well.
Don’t get too hyped yet, as the title wouldn’t be released until “2014 at the earliest.”
GameStop Italy’s Wii U games list includes F1 Race Stars, Warriors Orochi 3
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Wii U | 0 comments
GameStop Italy has offered up its own Wii U games lineup along with launch information. I’m sure that the pricing isn’t correct, nor are the release dates.
But without further ado…
Wii U console bianca : € 399 – 07/12/12
Ben10 Omniverse : € 54.98 – 29/11/12
F1 Race Stars : € 54.98 – 29/11/12
Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge : € 59.98 – 29/11/12
PES 13 : € 59.98 – 15/02/13
Rise of the Guardians : € 54.98 – 21/11/12
Sonic & All-Star Racing Transformed: € 59.98 – 30/11/12
Sport Island 12 : € 59.98 – 30/12/12
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 : € 54.98 – 29/11/12
Warriors Orochi 3 : € 59.98 – 30/11/12
Some of these games we know about while others are possible or completely random. I don’t believe Codemasters has announced “F1 Race Stars”, and Warriors Orochi 3 hasn’t been confirmed for Wii U.
Like I always say, it’s best to carry a bit of skepticism with retailer listings. Even though some of these games could certainly come to the Wii U, we probably shouldn’t make any assumptions unless official announcements are made.
Rumor: The specifics as to why EarthBound isn’t on the Virtual Console
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, Rumors, Wii | 0 comments
EarthBound is one of Nintendo’s most-classic SNES games, yet it still hasn’t arrived on the Virtual Console service. Legal issues are preventing the game’s release. What’s stopping it, exactly?
If new rumors can be relied upon, there are three specific reasons as to why the game hasn’t appeared on the Wii Shop Chanel. Two of these points are music-related.
EarthBound Central claims that the Sky Runner and Chuck Berry battle songs must be changed. Additionally, the enemy Dali Clock must receive a name-change.
While the Chuck Berry song could be easily interchanged and the Dali Clock would involve simple modification, the Sky Runner piece is the heart of the problem. There’s talk that new music would need to be made for the Sky Runner scenes. Sadly, there hasn’t been a push to do so.
Apparently Nintendo of America had been interested in making the appropriate changes so that legal issues could be avoided, but NCL wasn’t in favor of taking action.
Dragon Quest X may come with a single registration code
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Wii | 0 comments
Each copy of Dragon Quest X is rumored to be packaged with a unique registration code. Without this code, it’s impossible to play the game.
This is just retailer speculation at the moment. Square Enix hasn’t officially weighed in on the situation, but if it sticks, this could mean that Dragon Quest X could be excluded from used game sales.
Darksiders II Wii U boxart, maybe

Amazon Germany has added in a boxart image for the Wii U version of Darksiders II. The question is, will this be the final box template for the console? Is it official?
I have my doubts that the final Wii U boxart is set in stone, but it’ll probably look something similar to the image above.
EnjoyUp could be publishing La-Mulana WiiWare in Europe
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Rumors, Wii | 0 comments
Even though Nicalis cancelled its publishing arrangements for the WiiWare version of La-Mulana, the game could still be heading to Europe.
An updated entry was discovered on the European ratings board PEGI, though it has since been removed. Prior to its removal, EnjoyUp was listed as the new publisher for La-Mulana WiiWare.
EnjoyUp responded with a standard “no comment” statement when asked about the situation. Sounds like something could be brewing here…
Rumor: Nintendo now co-owns Fatal Frame IP
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, Rumors | 0 comments
Fatal Frame/Project Zero has found itself a new home on Nintendo systems as of late. Actually, the series has only appeared on Wii for the past several years.
Fatal Frame IV hit Japanese Wiis in 2008. A remake of Fatal Frame 2 will be arriving in Japan and Europe next week.
Given the platform choice for Fatal Frame’s most recent recent entries, it comes as no surprise that Nintendo is now rumored to be the co-owner of the IP. Developer Tecmo Koei also has a stake in the franchise.
This rumor is based on an apparent copyright update discovery which additionally shows that the company has the full rights to Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir, a 3DS spinoff of the Fatal Frame series. Nintendo nor Tecmo Koei has officially confirmed the IP’s status.
Rumor: Wreck-It Ralph video game to be Nintendo exclusive
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, DS, Rumors, Wii | 0 comments
Disney’s “Wreck-It Ralph” video game tie-in could be exclusive to Nintendo platforms.
GameFly is only listing versions for the Wii, 3DS, and DS. Activision is included as the publisher, though that tidbit is questionable. A release could be planned for October 30.
Wreck-It Ralph is an animated film featuring Ralph, a villain from the arcade game “Fix-It Felix Jr”. After determining that he’d like to turn over a new leaf, Ralph begins a journey to ditch his malevolent ways and ventures into new worlds.
The movie’s debut trailer showed a number of classic video game characters such as Dr. Robotnik and Bowser. Assuming GameFly’s listing is correct, Bowser’s inclusion could one of the contributing factors behind the Nintendo exclusivity.
It’s possible that the retailer is simply incorrect. Wreck-It Ralph is just a few months away, so we should receive information about the actual video game soon.
Rumor: Transformers Prime set for Wii U
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Wii U | 0 comments
Transformers Prime could be heading to Wii U. That’s according to the official site, which lists the upcoming console as an intended platform for the game.
It’s possible that Activision simply made a mistake. Then again, perhaps Transformers Prime is actually coming to Wii U.
You can see the listing right here.
