Oops…

Hey guys, Austin here, back from a few days of computer troubles which prevented me from accessing my computer. Who knew that leaving a computer on for weeks at a time on hot summer days would be bad for it!? Err… Anyway! I’ve got some updates for everyone, including news on this week’s game night!

To start, we will have a game night this week! I use bolded and italicized letters to accentuate my point. It will be this Saturday, July 23rd, and we will be playing Mario Kart! Of course, you’re always free to stop by and chat even if you don’t want to play, and you’re also free to look for others to play a different game, but I think we’ll focus on Mario Kart this week! Remember, it’s free to participate and no sign up is required to chat or play!

The second piece of news is actually just a teaser for something you’ll see either today or tomorrow. It’s a pretty big step for the site, so stay tuned on the main page and watch out for it. Until then, I’ll just give you a little teaser picture that is almost sure to give it away:

Update: Game Night is now over!

Austin is busy this week, but Game Night must go on! I’ll be taking on the hosting duties this week, and I know I’m looking forward to playing a few rounds of Mario Kart Wii. I hope you guys will join me! I’ve posted the IRC below. Keep in mind that registration is not necessary. Simply enter a nickname and you’ll be ready to go!

Over the past few days, we have been experiencing some issues with our contact form as a result of a new WordPress upgrade. Unfortunately, the problem only recently came to my attention. We changed the contact form two days ago, though if you attempted to send an email our way, you may need to resend it. Please note that we did receive all emails that were sent directly to our address. Just wanted to make sure everyone was aware of the situation!

Hey guys! Time again for another game night, which means you should all turn on your Wiis, grab a laptop, and hop into this here IRC to chat with us and play some online games! The fun will start officially at 6PM CST, 7PM EST, 4PM PST, but feel free to stop by beforehand and chat about games or anything else. There’s no sign up required and it takes less than 5 seconds to get into the IRC. Type in any nickname you want and launch it up!

Due to some unfortunate events involving transportation plans, I’m stuck in the windy city (Chicago) until late tonight. That being the case, I will unfortunately have to move game night to tomorrow evening at 6PM CST. Hopefully this move won’t cause too much ruckus among you guys, and all of you that planned on being here tonight will still make it for tomorrow!

I was gone for two weeks in a row, and now this week I just completely forgot because of all of the E3 business and the new site’s launch. However, I remember now and am super excited to get back into the rhythm of Game Nights! You all know the drill: Show up at 6PM CST (7PM EST, 4PM PST) and it’s free to play with no sign-up required! The best way to figure out how it all works is just by showing up, so I’ll see you all in a week for the first game night after E3!

Just in case anyone’s doubting the validity of the images, they do indeed come from Nintendo’s own server. I suppose it’s not completely confirmed that this will see a retail release, but it’d be a waste otherwise. It looks like the developers have done a considerable job upgrading the textures.

The big day is finally here! I’m not trying to hype up the conference beyond expectations, but I do believe that this will be Nintendo’s best since 2006. Last year wasn’t too bad, but 2007/2008 were pretty forgettable.

Again, we’ll be posting news the second it happens. Make sure to check in with the site after the conference as well for a ton of screenshots/art/trailers/anything else Nintendo shares with the press.
