Square Enix “currently evaluating” Dragon Quest VII 3DS for

Dragon Quest VII 3DS, as you would expect, hasn’t been confirmed for North America. Square Enix says that it is “evaluating” the remake for overseas territories at the moment.
A representative told Joystiq:
“We’re currently evaluating the title for the Western markets, but nothing has been determined. Please stay tuned for more information.”
I wonder if Square Enix would be willing to team up with Nintendo for publishing. Dragon Quest IX was published by Nintendo, so why not DQ VII as well?

“We are making a new game on Nintendo 3DS now. Not multiplatform, but exclusive to 3DS.” – Treasure boss Masato Maegawa
He didn’t offer any other details on the game other than that it’s an “action” title, but I think we can be pretty sure that if you’ve enjoyed Treasure games in the past you’ll continue to enjoy them into the future, and this one will likely be no exception. I can’t wait to hear what it is!

You may be asking yourself “Who is Shu Takumi? Why do I even care?”
If you enjoyed the writing in Capcom’s Ace Attorney series, you should definitely care, because he was a writer for those games. He’ll be making a return appearance in the DLC for November’s Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney release, penning the script and story for one piece of the DLC that will be available post-launch. You need to beat the game before being able to access the DLC.
