Nintendo’s new way of promoting some of its upcoming games is through the use of Nintendo Direct. Calcio Bit 3DS received a lengthy presentation a few weeks ago, and now Onitore will be receiving the same treatment.

On July 18, a 10-minute Nintendo Direct will be held for the new brain training title. The official name of the broadcast is “A Little Nintendo Direct Demon Training.”

Along with footage of the game, Nintendo will show footage of Satoru Iwata’s visit with Dr. Ryuta Kawashima.

As promised, Mighty Switch Force has received a temporary discount on the North American eShop. The game can be purchased for $2.99 through Sunday night. It normally costs $5.99, so you’d be saving $3 (50%) in total.

You may have seen the image above floating around on the Internet. It’s a fan-made 3DS mockup that features two Circle Pads.

That’s not a big deal. Fans create mockups all the time. But here’s the kicker: UK retailer HMV is apparently using the photo to promote the 3DS XL.

We’re waiting on verification for this, but if it’s true, that’s a pretty big screw-up!
