Nintendo Power has released a public preview of this month’s magazine. Titles featured include Epic Mickey 2, Mario Tennis Open, and a review of Kid Icarus: Uprising. The issue arrives on newsstands on April 3 and will soon be available for subscribers.

As it turns out, the Epic Mickey 2: Power of Illusion 3DS rumor was spot-on. There is a version of the game in the works for the handheld, Nintendo Power has revealed.

A preview page from the magazine has been published on Nintendo Power’s official site with the confirmation. Although there aren’t any gameplay details in that particular section, it does reveal the game’s developer: Dreamrift. The studio contains developers from the very-well received DS titles Henry Hatsworth and Monster Tale.

The original Epic Mickey 2 3DS rumor suggested that the project would contain 2D elements and would act as a companion title to the console releases. Given the accuracy of the speculation, we’re inclined to believe this is correct.

Renegade Kid’s Jools Watsham confirmed on Twitter a short while ago that the Mutant Mudds demo will be available on the North American eShop next Thursday.

The demo will include four levels, a secret level, and five collectible Water Sprites.

XSEED has posted several clues on their Twitter account for an upcoming game announcement. Based on the teases, we can only assume that the company is localizing UnchainBlades ReXX.

XSEED shared the following three clues earlier today:

So that’s a dinosaur (T. rex to be more specific), grass (a blade of grass that is!), and a scene from Ghost (Unchained Melody played in this scene). Put that all together, and you get UnchainBlades ReXX.

Maxconsole is claiming that Nintendo is readying a 3DS update for launch in just a few days. There would be a number of features in the firmware, such as a “Game Preview” mode on the eShop, a Nintendo Network application, and more.

A full listing of the functionality included in the rumored update is as follows:

* Ability to access Nintendo eShop account from other internet enabled devices including computers and smartphones.
* This system update will allow users to take pictures of QR codes with the 3DS from the other device’s screen to redeem purchased content.
* This update will add the application “Nintendo Network” to the 3DS.
* Ability to update physical Nintendo 3DS Games via Nintendo Shop (DLC feature).
* A “Game Preview” Mode for the Nintendo 3DS system Nintendo Shop.
* Enhances the speed of the handheld.
* Increases the system security with automatic security updates.
* Nintendo Zone will be automatically added to European 3DS owners.

We’ll be able to determine if this rumor is legitimate or not soon. If nothing becomes available within the next few days, that would be a pretty good sign that the above speculation is fake!

Square Enix has a second full-length Bravely Default demo on the way. According to the latest issue of Jump, the company is preparing “Demo Vol.2: Heroes of Despair Volume.” The contents of the demo are currently unclear, as is its availability on the eShop.

Along with the demo news, Jump has provided a brief overview of Tiz Oria who is voiced by Mitsuki Saiga. The magazine states that Tiz was able to survive in spite of the huge hole left in the content. Of course, this was caused by the massive calamity. In the game, Oria joins Anies on a quest to stop the coming darkness.
