Following the 3DS’ official show at E3 2010, Nintendo included the Etrian Odyssey series as one IP that would be coming to the portable. It’s been nearly two years, but Atlus has finally announced Etrian Odyssey IV.

Famitsu has the scoop on the game this week. You might be surprised to hear that, even though the game is just now being revealed, it will be released in Japan on July 5 for 6,279.

The development staff includes Daisuke Kaneda (director), Nizou Yamamoto (background artist), Shin Nagasawa(monster design), Yuji Himukai (character designer) and Yuzo Koshiro (sound).

According to Famitsu, there will be at least seven jobs in the title, such as sword man, medic, dancer, and sniper. The magazine also states that players will be able to change between “Normal” and “Casual” difficulties on the fly.

We’ll have more Etrian Odyssey IV news (and hopefully scans) soon.
