New Swapnote footage

It seems as though Swapnote is on track for a worldwide launch. It’s been confirmed for Europe and Japan for this week, so I assume that it’s also coming to North America on Thursday.

Although Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry’s Wonderland 3D was playable at Jump Festa, I haven’t been able to locate any gameplay videos that were taken at the event. Additionally, Square Enix has yet to share any screenshots or trailers for the game. But hey, here’s the game’s menu!

Not much to say here. Both batteries are rather poor. The 3DS lasted two hours and thirty-five minutes white the PlayStation Vita gave out after three hours and forty-seven minutes.

The OFLC has added new listings for Prince of Persia and Rayman. Prince of Persia was rated for both Wii and 3DS while Rayman was rated only for Nintendo’s handheld.

It’s very possible that these listings are related to upcoming Virtual Console releases. We’ll let you know if Ubisoft says anything official.

It’s now well-known that the clouds and bushes in Super Mario Bros. use the same sprite. The two are only separated by their color – of course, the clouds are white while the bushes are green. Other than that, they’re entirely the same.

It seems as though the “cloud bush” has made a return in Mario Kart 7. As you can see in the image below, the clouds and bushes appear to be the same.

You can see this for yourself in the Piranha Plant Pipeway track.

Update: Square Enix has also confirmed that Kingdom Hearts 3D is coming to Europe next year.

Latest Installment to the Beloved Franchise Arriving in 2012 for the Nintendo 3DS™

LOS ANGELES and LONDON (Dec. 20, 2011) – Square Enix, Inc. and Square Enix Ltd., the publishers of SQUARE ENIX® interactive entertainment products in the Americas, Europe and across PAL territories, today announced fans of the popular KINGDOM HEARTS series will be able to experience a new 3-D adventure next year with the North American and European release of KINGDOM HEARTS 3D [Dream Drop Distance], specifically for the Nintendo 3DS™ system.

The new game’s spectacular story promises to be a fun backdrop to the colorful cast of Disney characters making their 3-D debut on a handheld title. In addition to new worlds, KINGDOM HEARTS 3D [Dream Drop Distance] will feature never-before-seen gameplay elements for the series.

This is one of many demos up on the Japanese eShop. It’d be nice if some of these demos arrived on the North American/European stores!
