Square Enix has announced a new Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime title today for the 3DS. Features such as multiplayer, 3D, Wi-Fi, and SpotPass have already been confirmed. The multiplayer mode will support up to four players.

Gamers can expect to build ships and battle enemy pirates. Additional gameplay details are under wraps for the moment.

Square Enix is preparing a Winter 2011 release for Slime Mori Mori Dragon Quest 3: Daikaizoku to Shippodan. At this time, a North American/European launch has yet to be confirmed. The first game in the series never made it out of Japan, though the DS title saw localization a few years ago. Hopefully Square Enix will bring over the latest game as well.
