“They just released Call of Duty [Black Ops], and I looked at the poster — both pistols exhibited on the poster are 1911 A1 model pistols. One of them has the thumb safety down with the hammer on, which is impossible to do on that gun, which means the pistol is broken. And the other one has got the hammer down with the guy’s finger on the trigger, which wouldn’t happen either.” – Wolfgang Hammersmith, soldier

I have a buddy who is really into guns and weapons and stuff, and he’s a huge fan of Black Ops, but that does not stop him from totally disowning the game’s realism. Apparently there are guns in that game (which is set in 1968) that weren’t even created until the 2000s! I wonder what this soldier thinks of the game itself…

ATLUS RETURNS FROM A TERRIBLE FUTURE WITHOUT RADIANT HISTORIA, TIME-TRAVEL RPG FOR NINTENDO DS, WITH NEWS OF NORTH AMERICAN RELEASE IN FEBRUARY 2011

IRVINE, CALIFORNIA — NOVEMBER 22, 2010 — Atlus U.S.A., Inc., recently returned from an expedition into the future, today announced a North American release for Radiant Historia, a new internally-developed time-travel RPG for Nintendo DS. Channeling the heart and soul of fan favorite 16-bit RPG classics, Radiant Historia combines a unique position-based battle system, intricate hand-drawn details, and one of the best soundtracks in recent memory as it takes gamers on a steampunk adventure back and forth through time.

“We’ve seen a future without a North American localization of Radiant Historia,” warned a stern Aram Jabbari, Manager of PR and Sales. “That future was depressing and noticeably lacking in the ‘epic handheld RPG’ category. Knowing what that tomorrow would be like, we’re excited to release Radiant Historia for Nintendo DS in February 2011. Snowpack Park for the WiiWare service offers penguin-centric thrills, while the Virtual Console debut of SPIN MASTER brings classic NEOGEO adventure to the Wii system. New arrivals on the Nintendo DSiWare service include Tetris® Party Live, which lets you and your friends enjoy multiplayer puzzle action on the go.

This week also marks the introduction of new demo versions of red-hot games for the WiiWare service, including the award-winning And Yet It Moves, the retro-styled BIT.TRIP FATE, the fast-paced Jett Rocket and the pressure-packed ThruSpace.
