London (6th April 2009) – Square Enix Ltd., the publisher of Square Enix® interactive entertainment products in Europe and other PAL territories, today announces the release of two downloadable titles for WiiWare™ from TAITO®. BUBBLE BOBBLE™ Plus! will be available for download from 10th April 2009, while RAINBOW ISLANDS™: TOWERING ADVENTURE! is set for release in May 2009.

Originally released in 1986, BUBBLE BOBBLE became an instant hit in arcades around the world. Now BUBBLE BOBBLE Plus! gives a new dimension to the classic action with its four-person multiplayer mode along with a global ranking system. BUBBLE BOBBLE Plus! offers endless fun with 400 challenging rounds in different game modes. All of the memorable characters that players know and love will be joined by new enemy characters that stand in the way of victory.


NEW TRACKS FROM FOO FIGHTERS, GLASVEGAS, OASIS, THE VON BONDIES AND MORE ADDED TO Wii MUSIC STORE LINEUP

Cambridge, Mass. – April 6, 2009 – Harmonix and MTV Games announced today 11 new tracks coming this week to the Rock Band® Music Store catalogue of downloadable content for Wii™ home videogame console from Nintendo, including Journey’s definitive power ballad “Don’t Stop Believing.” This week’s music lineup also includes tracks from American hard rock band Foo Fighters, British alternative band Oasis and three family-friendly tracks from the favorite pineapple dweller, Spongebob Squarepants.

Described by Allmusic as “one of the best opening keyboard riffs in rock,” Journey’s smash 1981 hit “Don’t Stop Believing” will be released for download in the Wii Rock BandMusic Store this week. “Don’t Stop Believing” is one of the most referenced rock songs in popular culture, receiving prominent placement in the 2007 series finale of The Sopranos.

“It is moderately successful and has exceeded forecast (slightly, not by some rediculous amount). That is doing well. Did it do a million or a half million units worldwide? Of course not. But it’s still a moderate success because of the issues I called out earlier (game quality/managed scope). I’m not sure what else to tell you. No, expectations haven’t changed. So…It looks as though Okami did well, but not anything that made anyone at Capcom jump out of their seats.
