“There’s a lot to learn from the EA alumni who started 2D Boy and built something as creative and unique as World of Goo with such a small team and little money.” – Peter Moore

I can’t blame Moore for giving World of Goo accolades. It was one of the best Wii games of 2009, if not one of the best titles in general.

Eidos announced their latest creation Mini Ninjas earlier today. What they didn’t tell you, however, is that the game will feature a farting boss. According to the ESRB, there is one particular boss fight that “attacks with flatulence, using fans to wave green gas clouds towards the player.” Check out the full ESRB description below:

“This is an action adventure game in which players control a small ninja as he explores forest environments, fetches items for others, and fights samurai enemies. The main character uses a sword to attack and defeat enemies, and there are occasional boss battles that use life meters to measure damage inflicted. One boss character attacks with flatulence, using fans to wave green gas clouds towards the player.”

“I feel it’s very important to reiterate at every opportunity that this game is not sinister. I also feel that it’s important that the media and the developers communicate this to adult gamers out there in the world; this is a game for adults. Above all, this is a game. What happens in it – happens in it is a game. It all takes place in a video game environment.” – MadWorld producer Atsushi Inaba

It seems as though a few misinformed people are unaware of MadWorld’s real tone. The game is not just a bunch of violent sequences strung together. Rather, the developers have stated numerous times before that they are aiming for the game to be over-the-top in a comical sense. There doesn’t seem as though there should be a problem granted parents are aware of the game’s rating (and if media don’t take the game too seriously).
