Official Nintendo Magazine’s Galaxy 2 review is in

The latest issue of the Official Nintendo Magazine reached subscribers in the UK today, which contained a 10-page Super Mario Galaxy 2 review. Although a perfect score was not awarded like EDGE, the magazine gave the game a 97%, a very high score. ONM ultimately acknowledged that the title “lacks the original’s impact”, but praised Galaxy 2’s music, power-ups, and graphics. The magazine additionally stated that it is “a whole new heap of genius.” It looks as though Super Mario Galaxy 2 is shaping up to be just as enjoyable as its predecessor, if not more so.

First/third-party Nintendo launch schedule – Zelda Wii as TBA, Kirby listed once again, more
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in DS, News, Wii | 3 Comments
For the most part, I’d say there are no big surprises here. Zelda Wii is listed as TBA rather than 2010…Even though Nintendo is looking to release the game this year, it looks like we won’t hear anything official until E3. And for the umpteenth time, Kirby pops up on a launch schedule. When the heck will Nintendo actually acknowledge Kirby for Wii?

Cave Story launched on the Wii Shop Channel a few weeks ago in North America, but our friends in Europe are still waiting for the title. However, according to Nicalis’ Tyrone Rodriguez, the game is currently being tested for PAL territories. The development team will be making some changes, though they were not ready to discuss anything just yet. Regarding a release in Australia and New Zealand, Nicalis stated that “it may be a possibility.” Keep your fingers crossed!

Continental Games: Two more WiiWare titles in the works, one will use the Vitality Sensor
Posted on 14 years ago by Austin(@NE_Austin) in News, Wii | 0 comments
Stemming from the same article as the post below, it appears that Continental Games (developers of My Fireplace, WiiWare) have two more WiiWare projects in the works, including one that will supposedly use the Vitality Sensor. One of the titles we know nothing about, other than what we can speculate from the words of developer Juan Diego Álvarez, who says “Our next project is one that you’re going to like.” As for the other title, it is a game that is very focused in the field of emotional intelligence. Trying to translate emotions in the title is your main objective, and having to react accordingly is part of the challenge.
No word on when these two other titles may drop, but we’ll keep you updated!
Again, thanks to Fabio for the news tip!
My Fireplace – Details

Let me apologize beforehand for any misinterpretations, as my Spanish is a little rusty:
– Developed by Continental Games
– Intended to be a very simple simulation title
– Similar to My Aquarium
– Provides relaxation and ease of use
– Superior graphics to any WiiWare title
– Most realistic fire on Wii
– Help fund their future gaming projects
– Game has stopped due to WiiWare limitations before
– Trying to reduce price as much as possible
– Graphical engine is a basis for upcoming, more interactive projects
Thanks to Fabio for the news tip!
