I’ve been going back and forth over whether or not to post this, but it does seem that this is at least slightly related to Nintendo. Here’s what Bungie President Harold Ryan said about the possibility of developing for Wii…

“The Wii, along with any other platform that people enjoy entertainment on, is certainly a potential platform for our universe and IP. It’s obviously a platform we’ve developed or shipped games for, but it certainly has a broad consumer base in parts of the world, and something we absolutely consider as a potential platform.”

10-Year Alliance Expands Global Reach for Leading Game Developer Across Multiple Platforms

London, UK – April 29, 2010 – Bungie, the developer of blockbuster game franchises including Halo, Myth and Marathon, and Activision, a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard, the #1 online games publisher (Nasdaq: ATVI), announced today that they have entered into an exclusive 10-year partnership to bring Bungie’s next big action game universe to market. Under the terms of the agreement, Activision will have exclusive, worldwide rights to publish and distribute all future Bungie games based on the new intellectual property on multiple platforms and device. Bungie remains an independent company and will continue to own their intellectual property. Additional terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The groundbreaking alliance will provide Bungie its first such partnership since splitting off from Microsoft in 2007, significantly broadening its global reach by providing the resources and support to develop, distribute and release games worldwide on multiple platforms and devices.

[30th April 2010] Akaoni Studio has confirmed that Zombie Panic in Wonderland will be available for WiiWare™ in America as of 3th Mat 2010 for 1000 Wii Points.

Zombie Panic in Wonderland, was released in Japan by Marvelous Entertainment on 16th March and Europe by Akaoni Studio on 9th April, to critical acclaim and has already reached the number one spot on the WiiWare sales chart.

“It seems that the source of Nintendo Magazine is an interview with Jason misinterpreted by half the web. In short, nothing very serious, and yet, unfortunately, nothing guarantees that there will be a Red Steel 3.” – Ubisoft France statement

Well, I’m not surprised. I told you guys yesterday that I was very skeptical! Unfortunately, even magazines publish incorrect information here and there. I’d still like to see Red Steel 3 happen one day, though…
