Just want to throw it out here that there will be a game night this week, but it will be at 6PM CST rather than the usual 7PM! We’re going to play Mario kart yet again, so grab your gaming hats and mark your calenders: It should be a blast!

Sorry to those that were looking forward to perhaps joining us for this week’s game night, but we will have to skip game night this week! I’m unfortunately not going to be home either Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night, and so we’ll have to miss out for the first time yet! Of course, you’re all free to play games regardless of whether I’m there or not, but there will be no officially “sanctioned” game night. Many apologies to those who wanted to play! Be sure to mark your calenders for the following weekend, though!

Grab your copies of Mario Kart Wii and hit up the IRC (no sign up required!) to join us for as long or as short as you want to! No need to have sent in your FC beforehand – just jump in and we’ll get everything good so you can join us!

Tomorrow is going to be a very crazy day to say the least. A family member passed away on Monday and I will be attending the funeral. Unfortunately, I have to leave the site very early in the morning and I don’t expect to return until midafternoon at the earliest.

I’ve already talked with Austin, and he’s going to update the site as much as possible. If he’s able to, that is. Although he’s going to try his best to cover everything, I want you guys to expect the worst in case his schedule doesn’t work out. I will publish a number of posts to appear on the site at specific times, so that should keep you guys busy until Austin or I start posting.

Honestly, I’m not sure how everything will work out. It’s possible that you won’t see much of a change from normal site updates, which would be nice. But regardless of what happens, please bear with us!

Moving on to Renegade Kid – Jools Watsham was kind enough to agree to an interview opportunity. Based on our interview with Shin’en, however, it seemed as though some of you had a few questions that you would have liked to submit. So before we actually send in questions for the interview, feel free to leave a comment or shoot us an email if anything is on your mind about Renegade Kid!

Lastly, I’ve made a small change to categories. I was browsing the site a bit today and it struck me that it was silly how pretty much everything is labeled as news. We’ve added three new categories now – screenshots, videos, and random. The first two are self-explanatory, but you can expect posts such as art, weird facts, etc. to be labeled as random. We’ll only be using the news category for actual news from here on out.

Anyway, that’s all for now. I’ll be publishing a few posts in the morning before I leave, but as I said earlier, I’ll have other updates scheduled to go live throughout the day.

If you’re like me and you picked up Monster Hunter Tri last week, chances are you’re also like me and haven’t been able to put it down since. I am, in fact, playing it at this very moment (anyone wanna hop online with me?) and have been letting it take up far too much of my precious free time. That being the case, what better way to celebrate the launch than to have it be our next game for game night!?

Therefore, this week’s game night will be on Friday at 7PM CST (8PM EST, 5PM PST) and will work just a little differently than most.

Being as Monster Hunter is a game that is only playable by 4 people at a time online, we’ll have to divide up into teams (if we get enough players, that is!). We’ll have team leaders, one of them being myself, and (permitting they have the game) other staff members will be other team leaders. If none of them have the game, I’ll call upon some people on the night of the game night to take over.

Every few quest victories/failures, we’ll switch groups so everyone gets a chance to play with everyone else, and we’ll just keep repeating that until we get bored!

If you have any questions/comments, feel free to ask away! Otherwise, just let me know via e-mail, the comments, or the forum if you plan on playing!

I just wanted to pop in to remind everyone that tonight’s game night will be at 7PM CST (8PM EST, 5PM PST), and that we will be playing The Conduit. There’s one slight change, however, from how last week worked: You do not have to send me your friend code/tell me you’re playing before the game night starts. When we post up the IRC, I’ll have friend codes of everyone who has signed up posted along with it, and I’ll edit it as time goes on. All you have to do is show up when you want to play, and shoot me your friend code via the IRC! Additionally, you really only have to add my/Valay’s friend code because of The Conduit’s nifty “Friend of a friend” feature. This will allow you to play/talk with everyone in the match, even if you aren’t friends with them.

What you should do right now:

Add my friend code for The Conduit, to be sure that you’ll at least be able to get into the match if for some reason you can’t add others’.

I originally thought about postponing this game night until the 31st, but I had so much fun at last week’s that I couldn’t resist the chance to do it again! Let me start by thanking everyone that made me lose horribly at Mario Kart, and wish for them all to come back this week and play The Conduit with us! I have chosen The Conduit as our game for this weekend for various reasons, but since a lot of people are probably upset I didn’t choose something like MH3, let me make my case clear:

The way I figured, neither me nor Valay have Tatsunoko vs. Capcom yet, so we’re holding off on that game until one of us gets it. As for Monster Hunter, we want to give players of the game adequate time to purchase/get acquainted with it before forcing them into crazily intense battles with little to no experience. I will say, however, that if you want to play some Tri with me, feel 100% free to contact me and we’ll set something up!

That being said, there’s no poll for the game this week. Just make sure you let me or Valay know via email or the forum if you want to play! Also, if you haven’t sent your friend codes in for the database I’m compiling, make sure you do that as soon as possible!
