Switch

After it was announced for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch earlier this year, Hades received its release date today. The game heads to both platforms on September 26, 2025. A physical version will follow on November 20, 2025.

Hades 2 has been in Early Access on PC similar to the original game. For the full 1.0 release, it will be a console launch exclusive for Nintendo.

Lynked: Banner of the Spark

Lynked: Banner of the Spark has just been announced for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. Additionally, the game launches today.

Lynked: Banner of the Spark is a lighthearted action RPG. The Nintendo Switch 2 version supports GameShare and Joy-Con Mode, with the latter supporting mouse controls.

Here’s some additional information:

August 1: Ahead of EVO – which starts today – Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection has revealed its release date, Mortal Kombat Trilogy, and a physical release. At least physically, the package heads to Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch on December 12, 2025. We’re waiting to see if the digital launch is happening earlier as the Xbox store previously had that down for September 30 before the listing was removed.

Mortal Kombat Trilogy came out in 1996. While largely the same as Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, it featured characters and stages restored from Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat 2. 

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream

March 27: The cult hit DS and 3DS series Tomodachi Life is making a comeback, with Nintendo just revealed Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream. It’ll be available in 2026.

This marks the first entry in the franchise in over ten years. Players can create Mii characters based on anyone and watch them live their lives on an island out at sea. It’ll be possible to become involved with their relationships, experience the strange way they interreact, and more.

Nintendo Direct September 2025 live stream

With the massive September 2025 Nintendo Direct presentation kicking off in just a bit we have a post set up for the live streams and a live blog. It all starts at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 2 PM in the UK / 3 PM in Europe. 

This is one of the longest Nintendo Directs ever with the estimated length coming in at about an  hour. Upcoming games for both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch will be covered.

Disney Miraness Fitness

Today, Imagineer unveiled Disney Miraness Fitness for Nintendo Switch. The game is due out on December 11, 2025 in Japan and Asia.

Disney Miraness Fitness is a fitness game building off of the success of the Fitness Boxing series. Tons of details can be found in the following overview:

Shiny Miraidon and Koraidon Pokemon Scarlet Violet

For both Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, a new Shiny Miraidon and Shiny Koraidon are to be made available on September 26, 2025 with a new distribution. However, these creatures will only be provided through serial codes in select retailers.

In the United States, they will be available at GameStop. In Australia, New Zealand, and Canada they will be offered  through EB Games. In Japan they will be provided at game stores across the country when you show either game on your home menu.

Atelier Resleriana opening movie

Koei Tecmo and Gust are here with the opening movie for Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian. Fans can get a feel for the game, get a look at its various characters, and more.

Back to the Dawn

Today, Clouded Leopard Entertainment announced that it has picked up publishing duties for Back to the Dawn on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. The port launches in 2026.

Originally made by Metal Head Games, Back to the Dawn is a prison break thriller RPG. This new version will feature enhanced localization across all subtitle languages, as well as the addition of brand-new Japanese and Chinese voice acting.
