The Star Named EOS release date

Thanks to Playism and Silver Lining Studio, we have a release date for The Star Named EOS. Switch owners can pick it up on July 23, 2024.

The Star Named EOS was previously announced for Switch towards the end of last year. Prior to today, we had a Spring 2024 launch window.

For those that need a recap, The Star Named EOS offers the following:

Moonstone Island release date

The wait for the Switch version of Moonstone Island is nearly over and a release date was just shared. Today, Raw Fury and Studio Supersoft revealed that the game arrives on June 19, 2024.

Moonstone Island was revealed for Switch a couple of years ago. The PC version shipped last September, and since then, the game has grown. The team has added 70 new spirits, and players will be able to access a never-ending dungeon with rewards, “Decorator’s Pass” that grants access to all the DLC cosmetics since launch (with more to come), and a new marriage component allowing them to move in with a chosen spouse following a special wedding scene.

Azazel Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance

In the latest daily demon video for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, we have a closer look at Azazel. As part of its background, the creature is a leader of a group of fallen angels.

Kamaeru A Frog Refuge gameplay

Those interested in seeing what Kamaeru A Frog Refuge has to offer can check out new gameplay now. Ten minutes of footage gives us a look at the title from Armor Games Studios and Humble Reads.

Shadow x Sonic Generations graphics comparison

Sonic Generations is making a comeback as part of the new Switch title Sonic x Shadow Generations, and a new graphics comparison compares the new and old versions.

There’s a lot to look forward to in Sonic x Shadow Generations, including a new campaign. For the original game though, SEGA has touched up the graphics and increased the resolution.


Thank Goodness You’re Here, the “comedy slapformer” announced for Switch last year, was just given a release date. The title launches on August 1, 2024.

Thank Goodness You’re Here comes to us from Panic and Coal Supper. The two sides initially offered up a general 2024 launch window.

Summer Game Fest 2024 live stream

Summer Game Fest 2024 is beginning later today, and we have the official live stream here for you. The fun kicks off at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET / 10 PM in the UK / 11 PM in Europe. Days of the Devs will begin immediately after.

This is obviously a multiplatform show, but we should be getting at least some Switch news here. It’s thought that SEGA could be showing a new trailer for Sonic x Shadow Generations today – the game’s release date already leaked apparently. There could be other updates as well. If there’s anything notable, we’ll be sure to pass it along on the main site as the show goes on.

The Smurfs Village Party trailer

Microids issued a new launch trailer for The Smurfs Village Party, which just arrived on Switch. While there are plenty of mini-games to take on, remember that there’s an Adventure Mode as well.

Everafter Falls release date

We now have a trailer for Everafter Falls, an upcoming farm/life story-driven adventure RPG. Confirmed today is that the game hits Switch on June 20, 2024.

Everafter Falls has been a long time coming. We first reported on the game in 2020, and while it was expected to launch earlier, it’s now just on the horizon.
