Shigeru Miyamoto interviews continue to roll in. Polygon published a Q&A with the Nintendo creator earlier today, covering areas such as new characters and ideas, 3DS interaction with Wii U, episodic gaming, and a whole lot more.

Read on below for Miyamoto’s comments.

Shigeru Miyamoto commented on a number of new wide-ranging topics in an interview with the New York Times. While talking with the publication, Miyamoto chatted about video game violence, the Wii U’s reception/sales thus far, and expressed excitement over the “tremendous amount of possibilities” provided by online play.

All of Miyamoto’s responses are posted below.

Nintendo is coming out with a major expansion for New Super Mario Bros. U. Sometime within the next few months, owners of the Wii U game will be able to experience loads of brand new levels in “New Super Luigi U”.

New Super Luigi U will be more like a level pack rather than a completely new adventure. The DLC won’t feature an original story for Luigi, according to Shigeru Miyamoto, “but all of the levels have been redesigned”.

Regarding Mario, Miyamoto wasn’t able to confirm (or deny) if the other mustached hero will be making appearance.

Miyamoto told MTV Multiplayer:

“There are some people that say that they want Mario to appear, but Mr. Tezuka is saying that he’s not going to let Mario into this game.”

Take a look at the video above for more from Miyamoto on Luigi. There’s even more here.
