It has been a couple of months since Nordic Games purchased a majority of THQ’s major assets. The company has the rights to Darksiders, Red Faction, and plenty of other properties.

Reinhard Pollice, the man who is in charge of Nordic’s business and product development, told Joystiq about the next step:

“We want to carefully select which franchises are up for getting a sequel or new installment. We closely monitor the communities on that.”

According to Pollice, fans are showing the most interest in Darksiders, MX vs. ATV, Red Faction, and Titan Quest. Interestingly, Pollice himself has interest in seeing a new Deadly Creatures.

Skylanders will be facing its first competition this year. Disney plans to launch Disney Infinity this summer, its own attempt at a video game that incorporates the usage of physical figures.

Despite the impending arrival of Infinity, Activision isn’t changing its sales projections for Skylanders Swap Force.

Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg told Joystiq:

“We’re still bullish on our projections. We feel like it was only a matter of time, given the scale of the success of Skylanders, that other competitors entered the genre. That’s to be expected. I get this question a lot on Call of Duty. We have tough competition every year. We have tough competition in every category we play in, it’s a part of the business. We try not to focus on it. We try to focus on making the best games we can and exceeding the expectations of our fans and bottling magic.”

Young Justice: Legacy has been delayed on Nintendo platforms. The Wii U, Wii, and 3DS versions now have a “TBD” release date. This likely suggests a launch sometime in 2014.

The delay only impacts Young Justice on Nintendo systems – it’s still coming to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this September.

Little Orbit is apparently holding back the Nintendo versions to make them better suited on each platform. For Wii U, the team will be looking to exploit the GamePad for interesting gameplay. The Wii version, which was thought to be cancelled at one point, seems to be shaping up for release and will probably launch alongside the Wii U version.
