Limited edition Super Mario OREO cookies revealed

Original (6/26): Nintendo just announced a new partnership with Nabisco that will see Super Mario getting the Oreo treatment. They will be available in stores starting July 10, 2023.
Each package will contain a random assortment of Super Mario character designs. There are sixteen in total featuring Mario himself, along with Luigi, Toad, Yoshi, Fire Flower, Super Mushroom, Coin, Super Star, Bowser, Bowser Jr., Goomba, Boo, Blooper, Koopa Troopa, Piranha Plant, and Spiny.
If you’re wondering why Peach isn’t here, that’s intentional. OREO is calling on fans to participate in a social challenge to stop Bowser from taking over her castle. On the rim of a glass of milk, they’re being asked to stack as many hero-embossed cookies as possible atop a Bowser cookie until he is defeated. OREO then wants to share a video of it on social media.
OREO senior brand manager Vishnu Nair said: “OREO is always looking to bring new offerings to our fans and we are thrilled to unveil this super partnership with the iconic Super Mario franchise. There are so many playful synergies between OREO and Super Mario, it was a no-brainer for us to team up to connect fans of all ages through this delightfully playful cookie collaboration. We hope to unite cookie lovers and Super Mario enthusiasts alike with this playful mission, inspired by a storyline fans know all too well. We may even reveal a surprise as a thank you to those who successfully defeat Bowser and save the kingdom… Fans will have to wait and see!”
