Red Steel 2

– Out this week
– Will get a favorable review
– Craig did have some problems with it
– Longer than he expected
– Really requires you to move
– One of the best-looking third-party games
– You earn money a lot (open crates, finish missions, etc.)
– Use money to upgrade katana and guns
– Earn special abilities, can upgrade them
– Can buy armor
– By the end of the game, you’re extremely powered up
– Can tweak the controls
– Craig played on normal difficulty
– About 12 hours long
– Craig loves the soundtrack
– Highly recommends it
– Review will go live at 9 AM

Cave Story

– Like Castlevania/Metroid in some ways
– 16-bit graphics
– Made by one guy
– Great music, look
– WiiWare version has extra modes
– $12 is sort of a lot

Game & Watch DSiWare

– Game & Watch games released on DSiWare today
– Craig likes Game & Watch, but it’s tough to review games that you’ll only play for about 5 minutes
– Would be better for a compilation
– You should probably stay away from the games

Netflix

– Recent poll asked what platform people would like to see the service on
– One of the options was DS
– Reggie said the DS could technically stream movies, Nintendo would like to work with Netflix more

The rest of the year/E3

– Craig thinks Nintendo’s last E3 conference was better, but not super-awesome
– Nintendo hasn’t shown anything past June
– Nintendo has had big surprises in the past like Star Fox Command

– Wii MotionPlus not as 1:1 as people think, not as responsive, gets out of whack
– Craig has heard rumors about a Rogue Squadron game
– Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver has no connectivity with Rumble, Pokemon Ranch is supposed to get an update for HeartGold/SoulSilver
