Pokemon GO details 2022 New Year’s event

Pokemon GO will soon be celebrating 2022 with a special New Year’s event. Various activities and promotions are planned. There’ll be Pokemon wearing new costumes, themed avatar items, the return of some familiar Pokemon wearing party hats, and a Shiny Pokemon appearing for the first time in the game.
That Shiny Pokemon in question is Hoothoot, who will show up if you’re lucky enough. The creature will also appear as noncostumed Shiny Hoothoot after the event ends.
As far as the avatar items go, you’ll be able to purchase 2022 Glasses, New Year’s Headband, New Year’s Jacket Set, New Year’s Pants, and New Year’s Shoes. The full set will be available after the event ends as well.
There’s a whole lot more planned outside of what we’ve already mentioned. Players can look forward to things like fireworks, various bonuses, Timed Research, Pokemon hatching from eggs, and more. Further information can be found on the official site here.
The 2022 New Year’s event in Pokemon GO will run between Friday, December 31, 2021 at 10 PM to Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 8 PM local time.
