Sonic x Shadow Generations announced, coming to Switch

More than a decade after its original release, Sonic Generations is making a comeback with a remaster known as Sonic x Shadow Generations. It will be available on Switch this fall.
This is actually going beyond a simple remaster. A brand new campaign will be added focusing on Shadow the Hedgehog while the main game features “upgraded visuals and new bonus content.”

Shadow the Hedgehog is back with Classic and Modern Sonic in Sonic x Shadow Generations, an all-new collection featuring two unique experiences!
Play as Shadow the Hedgehog in a brand-new story campaign featuring never-before-seen powers and abilities that prove why he’s known as the Ultimate Life Form!
Sonic x Shadow Generations also includes a complete remaster of the classic hit Sonic Generations, featuring newly remastered versions of iconic 2D and 3D stages with upgraded visuals and new bonus content.

This is the first time that the main Sonic Generations experience will be on a Nintendo platform. Dimps made a different version for 3DS and was instead a 2D side-scrolling platformer.
