July 31: After it was previously rumored, Bandai Namco confirmed plans for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch versions of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero today. This one is planned for November 14, 2025.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, which was made by Spike Chunsoft, it is the fourth main entry in the Budokai Tenkaichi series. The 3D team fighter originally released towards the end of last year.

Bandai Namco has followed up with more news about the Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch versions of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero with details about frame rate and resolution.

First, let’s talk about the Nintendo Switch 2 version. When docked or in portable mode Dragon Ball Sparking Zero has a maximum resolution of 810p for main gameplay. Note that this can vary as dynamic resolution is in place. Frame rate is 30 FPS. Also, HDR is supported.

March 15: According to a report from eXputer writer eXtas1s, Bandai Namco plans to bring Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero to Nintendo Switch 2.

In a new video put up on YouTube, eXtas1s brings up Bandai Namco’s strong relationship with Nintendo in which the two sides have collaborated on specific projects. While Elden Ring and Tekken 8 from the publisher is also rumored, eXtas1s seems to have heard that Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero on Nintendo Switch 2 is something that’s specifically happening. Further claimed is that we should be getting it around the console’s launch.
