Dungreed update Hard Mode

It’s taken some time to come to the Switch version, but Dungreed just received a new update on Switch that totally redoes the game’s Hard Mode.

That’s not all for new content. The team also added new rooms to some themes, a short unlockable “Twilight Mansion” episode, a new costume, new items, and more. Tons of adjustments are included as well.

Here’s the full rundown:

A new free title update has been released for Dungreed, bringing the game to version 1.6.0. This update brings with it new unlock elements, buildings, and items, as well as a variety of changes and improvements to various aspects of the game. Full details can be found below:

A new update is now available for Dungreed. No patch notes are currently available, but this update adds new items, monsters, foods, and other content. Additionally, the update includes gameplay balance changes. We’ll keep you updated as soon as the update’s patch notes become available.

Today, Nicalis announced the final western release date for Dungreed, a 2D side-scrolling action game. It’s planned for release on October 27 both physically and digitally.

2D side scrolling action game Dungreed is planned to launch on the Switch according to the game’s japanese publisher, Pikii. This will be on the eShop for most regions, but a physical release is planned for Japan. Check out an overview and a new trailer below.

Dungreed is a 2D side-scrolling action game with 2D Rogue-LITE elements.

Prologue:

A quiet and peaceful town was destroyed by a mysterious dungeon and all the townspeople were sucked into the dungeon. You must become an adventurer sent from the kingdom to solve this disaster. Enter the dungeon to face the endless threats, rescue the people and rebuild the town!

There are no checkpoints in the dungeon. When an adventurer is slain within the dungeon, his items are lost and he is sent back to town.
Don’t worry too much though. There are various ways you can grow. You can permanently increase your stats through training and become even stronger with various items and food found in the dungeon. Train the adventurer and explore deep into the dungeon!

Dungreed

Nicalis announced today that Dungreed is in the works for Switch. The game is developed by Team Horay in Seoul, South Korea.

Dungreed is an “infinitely replayable 2D side-scrolling action game”. You’ll play as “an adventurer who must explore a continuously evolving dungeon in order to prevent the town from being destroyed.”
